Restaurants with tables for 10

Starting to plan a trip for next Spring with extended family. There will be 10 of us total. At least one or two nights we would like to have a meal where we are all seated together. (This would be in the parks.) Does anyone know which in-park restaurants actually have tables that would seat 10 people? I have never been to Disney with a group this large, so I haven't paid attention.

For the record, I do know about Grand Gatherings and we are considering that, but was looking for other options. Thanks.

We have done quite a few Grand Gatherings in the past and have had anywhere from 10-17 people. Some restaurants will be able to seat you together without any problem at all because they usually just push the tables together. We have eaten at the following restaurants as a large group:

-Crystal Palace (in MK)
-O'hanas (in Poly)
-Chef mickey's (in Contemporary)
-Whispering Canyon Cafe (in Wilderness Lodge)
-Hollywood & Vine (in DHS)
-Mama Melrose (in DHS)
-Liberty tree tavern (in MK)
-50's Prime Time Cafe (in DHS)
-Tusker House (in AK)
-Rainforest cafe (in DTD)
-T-rex (in DTD)
-Cape May Cafe(in Yacht & Beach club)

*LeCellier (epcot-canada) wanted to seat us at 3 or 4 tables
*Garden Grill (epcot) we sat at 2 tables next to each other
*Sci-Fi (in DHS) could not seat us together at all

**all of the above restaurants are table service so you need ressies, a walk up with a large group is pretty much impossible.
***The counter service restaurants have tons of tables but, it can be hard getting seats together during busy months and peak meal times. We have always had a fairly easy time getting seats at: Cosmic Rays(in MK), Pecos Bills(in MK), Electric Umbrella (epcot), Liberty Inn (Epcot), Backlot Express (DHS), Flame Tree BBQ(AK)

Thanks! This is exactly the kind of response I was hoping for. We have eaten at many of these restaurants on past trips... but never with a group of more that 4 people.

I appreciate the help!

You might already know this, but there is a group dining number you can call for groups of 8 or more. At least there used to be...I have no idea if they still have it since they've started the online reservation system. But we used it a few years ago when we had a large group. (407) 939-5665.

In a lot of situations for larger groups, the reservations are going to be booked for more than one table. The restaurants will do their best to accomodate you and seat you together, and for 10 they should be able to do that most of the time. However, when you make your reservations, understand that it might not happen all of the time.

Yep, this is right on. It all depends on the particular location, time, and how busy it is or will be. For example, I've dined at O'Hana with 10 on an early Saturday night with everyone sitting at one table and on a different trip with 11 people at O'Hana we were split up across 2 tables. And both times there were tables physically arranged to seat our entire group (or even larger). So it all depends.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did not know about the group dining number. I will try it. We do understand that we might not always get seated together. If it works out we will be happy. If it doesn't, we will be fine with that, too..
