On my next trip,I'am gonna get down on my knees in front of the castle with a wee plastic ring in a box,and get my DS to shout out " OMG my dads proposing " and he'll have his Mickey ears hat off, holding it upside down and asking folk." Dollar for the bride " Whit!!! Gotta make money somehow.;)
I'm gonna tell your long suffering wife on you!! LOL

Coral Reef provides an interesting option - my original idea was to have one of the dolphins carry a sign down to the window - but the trainers were not all that confident it would work as planned, so they sent a diver down with the sign - and he brought it right up to hold against the tank wall at our tank-side table - that seemed to work just fine (I think she was pretty surprised - and she did say "yes"). The other guests also seemed pretty surprised, and we got a nice round of applause and congratulations.

Since I did that, I've actually seen a video of someone else who did the same thing (and also got a 'yes') but, unfortunately, I did not get any photos or videos.

(This was back in the late 90's - While we're still good friends, her lack of love for Disney meant that it did not last ... sorry if that's a Valentine's Day bummer ...)

I feel sorry for guys. It is so much pressure for us because of the women and there are too many things that are cliche now. Restaurants are horrible, in front of the Castle has been done a billion times over. If it were me and I was going to propose at WDW, I would find something completely new to do...

Play a round of miniature golf, hit your ball in before she does, take your ball out and leave the ring in the hole for her to find when she hits it in.

My all time favorite would be right before the drop on ToT or right before the launch on RnRC.

Maybe a little cliche still, but a fireworks cruise and propose before wishes.

Best yet would be to work with WDW to see if you can dress up in her favorite character costume and in a very secluded place, propose as her favorite character. This would take a lot of coordination and luck.
Does the scream count as a yes?

Let's see, a romantic proposal in my mind should be kinda private and only focus on you and your loved one. So you're gonna want to go somewhere private that offers a beautiful moonlight picnic type setting. Where on WDW property does this exist in terms of restaurants. Why Portabello's in DTD of course. A romantic dinner for two not like what the LTM is right now but think. You and your loved one share a romantic candle light dinner provided by not lumiere but the restaurant you sit and talk (yes actually devoting attention and conversation toward them) them when the moment is right you confess your love and seek their hand in marriage. Portabello's offers a great setting and is in my opinion a very love magical restaurant. A lamour

Really? I like the food at Portobello but find it a bad spot for couples. The only tables with any privacy at all are the corner booths that seat six. Everywhere else the tables are practically right atop their neighbors. When we ate there in November, there was literally eight inches between us and the next table over. Not my idea of intimate or romantic. Looking around the restaurant, it wasn't that we were at a bad table. They all lack privacy. Then again, we've only eaten at the bar or in the dining room. The outdoor seating they sometimes use might be a different story.
