Restaurant To Propose!

My OH sometimes reads the threads here, we've been together 11 years and I'm still waiting! So I'll answer from where I would like to be proposed to!!!! Apparently the California Grill at the Contempary during Wishes is a popular idea! I also think the MK has a magical feel but I can't think of a restaurant suitable, maybe Be our Guest? Haven't been there yet!

To be honest with you i'd settle for my local McDonalds! :(

While I get where you are trying to go with this, Hatter, in all honesty a restaurant proposal is far too cliche for my taste. The only thing worse is a proposal in front of Cinderella's Castle. No offense to the ladies out there who have or want this kind of proposal, but as a guy I think the proposer aught to put some thought and effort into a proposal. I always thought a restaurant proposal (or in front of the castle proposal) were sort of half-assed.

I feel sorry for guys. It is so much pressure for us because of the women and there are too many things that are cliche now. Restaurants are horrible, in front of the Castle has been done a billion times over. If it were me and I was going to propose at WDW, I would find something completely new to do...

Play a round of miniature golf, hit your ball in before she does, take your ball out and leave the ring in the hole for her to find when she hits it in.

My all time favorite would be right before the drop on ToT or right before the launch on RnRC.

Maybe a little cliche still, but a fireworks cruise and propose before wishes.

Best yet would be to work with WDW to see if you can dress up in her favorite character costume and in a very secluded place, propose as her favorite character. This would take a lot of coordination and luck.

Personally, I have always thought of my dream proposal to be during Wishes on Main Street. Maybe that's cause Wishes is my favorite nighttime entertainment at Disney.

Some other cool ideas would be in front of the Wishing Well next to the castle or in front of the Cinderella fountain behind the castle. The rose garden in France is also really pretty too. The beaches at the Poly or GF would also make a nice place for a proposal. You could still do it during Wishes, but it would be a little less cliche than doing it on Main Street.

On my next trip,I'am gonna get down on my knees in front of the castle with a wee plastic ring in a box,and get my DS to shout out " OMG my dads proposing " and he'll have his Mickey ears hat off, holding it upside down and asking folk." Dollar for the bride " Whit!!! Gotta make money somehow.;)
