...only one I can be "opinionated" about is the Hacienda vs San Angel Inn match-up.

...it difficult because the food is vastly different.

...on the food topic ...I'd give it to Hacienda (though the 'atmosphere' in San Angel is really ...should I say ....romantic)

I'd choose based on where I wanted to be at that time and which restaurants had dishes I wanted to eat. I choose restaurants after my park visits are already planned so I don't have to waste time traveling around for food. After that it really comes down to where I can find what I want to eat.
