Yes there is a restaurant that looks over Small World. It's called Village Haus i think and is a counter services nothing really nice but it's dressed up to resemble pinnochio and stuff.

If that's what you both say it's called, then yes, I was thinking of Pinocchio Village Haus. I always wanted to eat there (never did on any of my trips) because of the cool view of Small World below it.

I prefer the other fast food places in the MK over that. I think that Pecos Bills and Cosmic Rays give you more for your money (with the great toppings bar). The view of Small World is nothing special, it overlooks the load area. There are only 4-6 tables by the windows too and they are usually taken right away. So the odds of getting one overlooking the ride are very slim. You are much better off going to another MK eatery.

I love pecos bills!

now does this eatery look into the ride?

This is a drift, but has anyone had dinner at the land's eatery which overlooks the ride? im sure there has been, but is the food good? and how is the atmosphere?

anyway, sorry for the drift!

i think pecos bills is great for the aforementioned reasons. They have a great toppings bar, and the burger was GREAT! I havent had a good burger in so long...

mmmm.....buuurrrrrgggggeeerrrrrr

This restaurant has a lot of seating, much more than you think when you enter. You can get burgers and dogs at many places but being able to get a seat where is air conditioned during August is always a good thing. We usually have luck getting a seat quick here.

The wife and i love the village haus. We always find a seat at the window, but we tend to try and eat at odd times (to avoid crowds). The burgers are not bad, but there are other places to eat that are better. We just like to relax away from the crowd and watch the small world patrons wave to us.

Garden Grill

The restaraunt overlooking the land. We like the food, some don't. Family style, all you can eat. See the top of a few scenes of the Land. Unless you approach the glass, where you can see the boats. Probably the calmest character meal.

Yes, the Pinnochio Village Haus overlooks the Small World queue and loading areas. The food is not that good in my oppinion, and it is way overpriced! You get a better meal at the Columbia Harbour house near Haunted Mansion, and you can sit over the "Bridge" between Fantasyland and Liberty Square and "people watch."

I've been in that restaurant quite a few times, but I don't believe I've ever gotten food there. I've just gone there to get a drink and sit and relax. I'll make it a point to eat there when I go next.... MAY 2003! Trip #21!

Heading for the great escape.
eat there every trip, never had anything to complain about, then ive never viewed a burger as a gourmet meal. If its not too hot try sitting on the outside balcony in late afternoon, its in the shade and very pleasant.

The Harbour house around the corner is ok but my brats tend to moan about the food.

I've dined there a few times...never had a problem finding a window seat (although I usually go during the slow season). The food is just burgers...can't really screw up a burger (unless you go to the "Burger Digs" in IoA). The view is nothing special...just of the loading dock and the first turn.

Too bad, seems Disney really missed a Golden opportunity here. I wonder why there is not a dining area with an actual view of the ride inside? They could easily disguise it from the ride side so it isn't noticeable.

The booths at the Garden grill (the Land) used to rotate around the perimiter of the restaurant. When I was there this past December, they were motionless. Anybody know why? (even farther adrift)

Well, you obvioiusly got your answer as to the name... but my kids love eating there.. they love french fries. We always sit by the window and watch the people getting on the ride... exciting I know. My only complaint... the last time we were there, my pop tasted like chlorine water... I am just wondering if it funnels right out from under the boats and into the fountains. :(
