We ate there last year and my husband ordered the taste of morocco on the dining plan....there was an additional fee added to the bill for this. It was in the neighborhood of $10. My DH thought it was well worth it....

hmm okay. The pictures I have seen look great and I'd love to order that because I never get to eat this type of food.

I was wondering the same thing and I called to ask and was told that everything on the menu besides appitizers are included. I will call back to ask since I will be quite upset if I have and extra charge on my bill that I am not expecting.

Yeah, if you find out report back. I'd like to know the answer to this as well. It does seem odd that they would put an extra charge on the bill.

Some restaurants do charge extra when you get special items.
We don't use the DDP, but I can attest to the fact that the food here is very good. :slurp:

The food is good, but very mildly spiced. Good if you are less adventurous. Moroccan restaurants in the city are a bit spicier.

Well how are you supposed to know what is "special" or not? Nothing is clearly defined. If I was told I could order from here to here on the DDP and then after the fact got a bill - I would be a little putoff.

And I have never had Morrocan food at all. So I have nothing to compare it to really. But it does look really good! :slurp:

When you are seated you will be asked if you are on the DDP, any restrictions should be explained to you at that time. If you have any questions or any doubts YOU must speak up and ask.

From the FAQ's located on another site...

Q: Do Table Service and Counter Service locations have a special menu or exclude certain items from the plan?

A: There are no separate menus for the Disney Dining Plan, but individual locations do control what items are excluded from the plan. Although exclusions are generally minor, most regularly exclude the following items:

Merchandise and Photo Imaging
Pizza delivery
In-room mini-bars
Souvenir or refillable drink mugs
Glow Ice Cube Drinks
Alcoholic Drinks
Specialty Non-Alcoholic Drinks
Entrée "add-on"
Sampler Platters

Individual locations can vary what is excluded from the plan from seating to seating, so Guests are encouraged to check with their server prior to ordering for items excluded from the plan at their time of meal.

The reason there is an extra charge for the Taste of Morocco is that it includes an appetizer. The basic DDP only covers the cost of the entree and dessert (plus non-alcoholic drink of course). At this restaurant, if you order something that has an appetizer included, they will price out the cost of the appetizer and bill you for that. The rest will be covered under the DDP. It works just the same as if you ordered an appetizer, entree and dessert separately. You would have to pay for the appetizer OOP on the plan. Some restaurants will allow you to order the combination on the Plan. I think this restaurant doesn't because there is actually 2 appetizer's on the Royal Feast, Harira soup and Beef Brewat Rolls, and you do get both of them. We had this on our trip last December on the DDP and we paid OOP for the appetizers. Hope this makes sense. Also, it is a lot of food.
