Resorts With Table Service Restaurant.!

Yesterday I found out that a family friend of ours is going to WDW in October this year.As of yet they haven't picked at resort but are looking at moderates.They are 2 adults,1 girl (6) and 1 boy (8) But for some reason or other,they would like the resort to have a table restaurant on site.Why ? I don't know. Anyway,which moderate do you think has the best TS ? Altho we stayed at CBR we never ate at their TS.Cant judge on CSR as never been,but have eaten twice at " Boatwrights " and enjoyed it.Over to you good folk.

We've stayed at Coronado a few times and will again this Fall and have never eaten at Maya Grill but hear really great things about it. They should check out that menu.

I can't speak for which moderates have the best restaurants beyond what I've heard from others...and Maya Grill and Boatrights always seem to come up.

As for your resort having a decent TS spot, it's important to us. I actually like having a few options...in house or right near by. For breakfast, it's a really nice perk to be able to just get up and head downstairs for your 7-7:30am ADR...super relaxing, no time messing w/transportation for your meal- i.e. ulitmate convenience. It's also nice for dinner if you're into mid-day breaks or take relaxation days. i.e. wake up from your nap/clean up from your pool time and dinner is practically right there.

IMHO they really need to go to a deluxe for a good TS restaurant. As I stated in another post Grand Floridian Cafe, Kona Cafe, The Wave are all good and all on the monorail.

One thought is a cabin at FW giving access to HDDR and relatively easy (boat) access to the TS at the MK Deluxes (GF, Poly, WL, CR)

I've been to shutters at CBR and it wasn't really all that good. Boatwrights on the other hand at POR Is good. Ohana at the poly is good too.

I ate at Shutters at CBR a long time ago, but I don't remember the meal at all. To me, that says that it wasn't that great. I've never eaten at Boatwrights, but I've heard good things about it. Same with Maya Grill. I would never tell someone to stay away from POR though.

But I do think Maya Grill has fantastic entrees!

I like both POR and CS as resorts (with a slight edge to POR, as it's quieter, with less walking)

Agree,but the difference in price for 14 days at a moderate & deluxe is $$$$$$$$. I don't think there looking for a signature experience,just a TS restaurant.

Boatwrights was nothing to sneeze at!
We had a nice time @ Shutters, but most people don't care for it. Our waitress made our time there memorable because it was my Mo'm's and 2 boys' birthdays, and she gave us a free cake! She even boxed it up for us to take back to the room!
Never eaten @ Maya Grill, but I assume if you like Mexican, then you'll like it!
