I had to go back and check a waffles pic from earlier this month. I didn't notice one way or the other.. apparently I got a plain Jane plate.

Port Orleans French quarter started after its recent refurb.
I actually don't want it to go to that everywhere.
We ordered takeout 4 times from GF Cafe, ate at the pool with plasticware. Captain Cook's, I'm also good with plasticware and paper plates. I'd rather throw it all in the trash and move on, or bring my food to my room without having to set the plates outside of the door.

I have said many times Disney World is a big down grade in my world. In normal life I would rarely stand in line for food or eat off of paper plates. I had some lady try to muscle a head of me one morning, haven't had that happen since high school. Disney memories.
You all are making me feel like a total redneck. I use disposable plates (and serve them) at backyard BBQs in the summer. I provide them at my kid's birthday parties too. Oh, and we use them at home whenever we order pizza.lol

I'm more than OK with the paper plates. It's nice in theory to say they use real plates and silverware but I'm good without that. I'll take themed plates and napkins over real plates and silverware anyday. Some restaurants, sure, go for it, but not every quick service needs to offer that, JMO. It's not like Tiffins or Jiko serve their food on paper plates.

You can wash plates and utensils.

I would be more terrified of what is on the hand rails at WDW??????Also think about how many people press a ketchup dispenser in a day? I'm sure it gets cleaned at night but I doubt very much during the day.
Single use items will definitely have fewer germs when compared to even washed plates and utensils.

I don't put my food on handrails like I do a plate and I certainly don't stick handrails in my mouth. Paper plates and plastic utensils are more hygienic when dealing with the amount of people Disney deals with daily.

That is probably correct if stored safely and the plates/utensils are not touched by other patrons or CMs that handle food.

If a dishwasher is set correctly, 180 degree water and disinfectant will kill all the germs.

No paper in my house(except in bathroom lol).

That's pretty normal I think...I'd never break out good plates and silverware for those types of events.

Uh oh, Jay Rasulo is not gonna like this!

Disneyland broke away from Disney Parks branded paper goods two years ago for the 60th celebration, and kept it up this year when the 60th ended with all new paper goods branded Disneyland. Great to see WDW got the memo too!
Has Castro given up his "Hot Food Bag" boycott?

Its because disney allows it. If they enforced rules and were strict with certain things it would discourage the vile guest behavior. There's a reason murders are rather rare (in the grand scheme) if disney tossed guests and created an internal level of expectations for the guest it would (slowly) change the overall feel.
