ANAHEIM (Orange County Register) - In a shuffling of executives at Disney, Tony Bruno was named general manager of the Disneyland Resort hotels and will oversee all three Disney-owned hotel properties in Anaheim and more than 1,000 employees. In addition, Disney named three new hotel managers for its Anaheim properties and a new general manager for Downtown Disney, the dining, shopping and entertainment district. Stepping into new roles as hotel managers are Hee-Won Lim, Terry Furr and Marcy Tanner, who will all report to Bruno. Lim moved from the Paradise Pier Hotel to the 990-room Disneyland Hotel and oversees the centralized housekeeping and recreation departments that support all three hotels. Furr transferred from director of operations for Downtown Disney to the 751-room Grand Californian. He also is responsible for the bell and valet services and the dining reservation staffs for the hotels. Tanner now leads Disney's 502-room Paradise Pier Hotel and directs the front desk and lodging development teams for the three hotels. Rod Schinnerer also moved from the Disneyland Hotel, to assume Furr's former position as general manager of Downtown Disney. Schinnerer will report to Senior Vice President Randall Baumberger. In the new, expanded position as general manager of all three hotels, Bruno said he is working to ensure that "we really have three hotels operating in cohesion with each other."

That will be a welcome change. I am sure it has been quite a change management issue for the cast members of all the hotels since only one of them was actually conceived and built by Disney.
