Resort room requsets not accepted

I have just been told by the Disney operator that I cant request a building or area in a resort as I have free dinning and such requests would be seen as a reservation change that would result in my loss of free dining. I can only request a block at check in.

Before I go and spout off is this a new thing or have I just had someone whos not having a magical day?

Certainly no where near as helpful as Universal resort.

Have e-mailed Disney asking for clarification, will see how it turns out.

Im now wondering if as someone has said she thought I wanted to change the standard of room? But to be honest its not what I asked, and as one or two on here can testify, my accent isn't that strong. Besides, I've convinced myself on reflection, she just wanted me off the line. Still its not as though I'm short of time. :dazzle:

Don't bother waiting on the email. Call back and get someone else to do it for you.

She may have wanted you off the line. Most of the DRC cast members have to meet a revenue goal per hour. You weren't getting her any revenue so they try to dump you to a different department or get rid of you without directly hanging up on you.

Just had a reply from Disney. All is well in the Sak household. Request duly noted, with the usual disclaimer of course, as was the fact that it was my 25th anniversary.

Im just hoping Disney realise that after 25 years Im due a change of luck.

Last month when making a payment I requested to stay in jazz and the cm said that I would have to pay for the room because it was a perferred location to my surprised I said really since when? and she smartly answered "since always" I told her thats news to me since I always request jazz when I stay at asmu and never had a problem I thanked her for the info and hung up. Called right back and another cm noted it for me. I hope I get it. If not all well Im still in the best place on earth
