Resort pin trading?

Out in D/L they have "un-offical" pin trading meets once a week at some of the hotels...I think at Par. Pier Hotel.

Are there any pin meets at the resorts at WDW? And if anyone has the schedule.

Much thanks.

I don't know of a schedule, or where to find a schedule... but often at DTD, there are people near the pin store and in the World of Disney ready and willing to trade. I've seen it a few times in the summer, but it was just a "the right place at the right time" kind of thing.

I don't think there's a resort thing, but I know at one time, and probably still, there are scheduled trading times at World of Disney in DTD. It might just be for kids, though.

Cash trades are not allowed. Sometimes dizpins has dates for pin trading meets.

If you're just looking to get out completely, maybe try selling your pins on ebay? I see a lot of them on there.

Yes you do. :zipit:

I would second that idea, I've bought a few retired pins from there to complete collections for my kids.

If you wanted to do something really great with the pins, you could donate them to the Bert's Big Adventure charity. We collect pins and lanyards to support the charity. The kids going on a once in a lifetime trip to WDW get a lanyard and some pins to start them on trading and provide them with a special keepsake of the trip. Let me know if you are interested in helping us with this project. Thanks. Maggie

Maggie,

I think that your information should be posted not as a thread but as information that would stay the same.

I would be interested in sending a few pins out but, unfortunatly I have more than a few and want out and with some of my investement returned.

Please post your info. needed to send pins to you.

While I'm not sure about the other monorail hotels, the Contemporary has a pin trading station starting at 7:30 am till 11pm daily, located on the North Concouse on the 4th floor. Also available is Mickey's Pin Trading for kids every Friday evening from 7-10 pm same location. Although I don't collect the pins (wish I had time for it!), I thought it was a nice way to meet other Disneyholics like me. There was always a nice size crowd there, about 25 -35 people, every time I passed. Hope this helps!

My suggestion would be to go the ebay route.....

Bryon, I couldn't find a way to PM you or to email you. I would love to send you the address, but I hesitate to post it to the board, since it's my home address. Any pins that you would like to send would be appreciated. As long as they are tradable with the CM's at WDW, that's all that we ask. Thanks for your kind offer. Please email me at mickeysaver@aol.com so that I can send you my address. Thank you again. Maggie
