My wife and I are wanting start collecting Disney World magnets. We are especially interested in resort magnets. We already have magnets from Animal Kingdom Lodge, Caribbean Beach and Wilderness Lodge. My question is this...do ALL of the restorts have their own magnet? If not all which ones do? Also if anyone has pictures of the resort magnets it would be great. I know this is probably a crazy question but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for humoring me!

Hey there!!!! I love collecting magnets too....I have one from Port Orleans resort. I am pretty sure each resort has their own magnets....I'll try and post a picture within the next couple of days.:animwink:

I'm pretty sure that each resort has its own magnet. The All-Stars might share one, but other than that, I think I recall seeing individual magnets at each resort I visited.

Disney Vacation Club has a refrigerator magnet; see my avatar; I used the magnet as the center piece to my "Mickey Head" tow hitch cover.

Another magnet collector here

I only have a WL resort magnet, but a ton of others from the parks. Most of them are packed away since we remodeled our kitchen, I'll try to dig them out and post pictures.

Thanks for the input folks! I look forward to seeing pictures of some of the magnets. My wife and I just built a new home and we hope to try to cover one whole side of our refrigerator with Disney magnets. We love trying to visit as many of the resorts as possible when we go to The World and I think it would be so neat to have a magnet from each of them.

Not to take away the thrill of the chase by visiting each resort, because visiting them along is just worth the trip, but have you considered going through mail-ordr merchandise? Perhaps they can help you outto complete your collection. Sounds like you have a very fun & affordable collection as oppose to the pin trading-addiction almost everybody suffers from.

I believe that all resorts have their own. We collect these too and we plan on adding a bunch more when we go back in Dec. We are going to take a day to tour the Christmas decorations at each resort and I plan on trying to get a magnet from each one that we go to.

Yeah, we have thought of that and will probably end up taking advantage of it at some point. Thanks for the advice!

Can you get these over the net or mail-order? I have never seen them outside the World!

If you forget to get that "special something" in one of the parks or downtown Disney or just plain ol' run out of money during your trip and can't afford to buy some of the things you saw and liked Disney provides a great service where you can call them and give them details on the item you forgot to get and they will actually go into the parks and find it and then ship it to you. The more detail you can get the easier the process is. We were very financially embarassed during our last trip so we carried around a small notebook and wrote down items we were interested in with the intent of ordering them once we got back home(and could afford it). The number to call is 1-407-363-6200.

Just keep in mind that the magnet in that picture just says "Port Orleans Resort", which means it is from back when Riverside was called "Dixie Landings". So you're not likely to find that particular magnet for sale, as it is now obsolete. Unless, as far as magnets are concerned, the two Port Orleans resorts are considered on resort, so they just make one magnet to represent them both.

I had not thought of getting a collection of magnets until I saw this thread, but it sounds like a good idea. The wife always likes to get souvenier magnets when we go on vacation, and since this will be our first time staying on property, getting some magnets sounds like a good idea.
