Resort Lounges For That Quiet Moment!

Good Morning All..Now to be honest with you,I don't spend much time in our resort lounge..I do however enjoy a nice adult drink in a quiet spot at the end of the day..I did prefer the lounge at FQ to RS ( Yee Haw is just too noisy for me ) But I did see pictures and read the review of Victoria Falls lounge at AKL the other day and it looked really nice..So which resort lounge is your favourite for that peaceful drink at the end of an exhausting day..?

I do like Riverside ( When Bobs having a night off ) ..I know he's got a huge fan following,especially with kids,and I appreciate his talents on the ivories,but he reminds me of Elton John on speed....

We really enjoy Outer Rim... of course my fav is the Tambu Lounge at the Poly, but I'd much rather get a cocktail at the Barefoot Bar and stroll over to the quiet pool, grab a table and sit back, and relax

Another vote for Victoria Falls. Been there many times, bartenders very good. Also in between drinks you can go out near the pool, as they have night vision goggles where you can view the savannah for animals. They also make a great frozen mudslide.

My pick as well. Nothing like a good drink while relaxing on your balcony as the kids fall asleep after a great day in the parks!

Am I mistaken, or have people said that you can drink your own beer or other libations around the resorts or DTD? I presume they prefer you have cans rather than bottles?

If you have a drink at a resort, you can ask for a to go plastic cup (if you are headed for the pool), put they sell bottles at the resorts. You can take that to your room if you want. They won't let you on a boat, bus, or monorail with alcohol, however. Although while we were staying at WL, the boat captain said if its in your Disney mug, he won't ask any questions We have never had a problem taking alcohol throughout a resort. We order beer and wine from the garden grocer each trip. I enjoy walking from my room to a restaurant at the resort with a drink. Club level guests also get alcohol in bottles. So to answer your question, if you are headed to the pool, you will need plastic cups. If you are just roaming the grounds of your resort, a bottle is fine!

At the end of the day, my preferred "lounge" is the patio of our room.

For a mid-afternoon break, give me a pool lounge. Any pool lounge. But if I had to pick one, it would be Trout Pass at WL.

I cant wait to try this bar out, do they have tv's? Have to keep up to date on college football, not soccer. Nothing better than sitting at a pool bar and watching ESPN.

The Belle Vue lounge at the Boardwalk is a great place to take a break. It has cozy couches and arm chairs, plus it has some board games available to play. It is tucked away in the corner on the second floor, so it has an intimate and private feel to it. We usually get our morning coffee and pastry there. In the afternoon it begins serving alcohol.

The Territory Lounge at the Wilderness Lodge is a nice quiet spot for me.

Being non-drinkers, we usually avoid lounges, but this past May we stayed at VWL and went in the lounge at WL just for the wings...very good wings.

I recall Outer Rim was on 4th floor of CR near Chef Mickey's. Due to the proximity to the restaurant, I doubt it would qualify as a quiet oasis. I do not recall any particular name for the bar area in CG other than a darn fine place to wait for your table in CG while enjoying a nice libation. But really RMH, I believe you may have already experienced both. I look to you to give true meaning to enjoying a drink around the world meaning more than just WS.

The Muddy River Pool Bar has 2 TVs covering live baseball and/or football games.
