Resort Hopping-luggage transfer

For those who like to stay at multiple resorts in 1 trip like me (We plan on doing 4 days at Pop Century and 4 at WL):
Has anyone had experience with the Disney luggage transfer?
Any tips to make the transition smoother?

It works great. We used it two years ago to go from Port Orleans to the Polynesian. We called Bell Services to pick up our stuff. They tagged them and told us they would be at the resort in the afternoon. Then we went over to the Polynesian to check in. We went to the parks for the day, and when we got back our bags were in the room waiting for us. The hardest part of the whole situationwas repacking after staying at the first resort.

You tip the guy when he takes your luggage. If you see the person deliver your luggage to the room then you tip him too. Most of the time you won't see the second person though. They will come when you are at the parks.

Do you need to make arraingments prior to transfering hotels?

Wow, I've never heard of this! I would like to know the procedure for this too!

I would tell bell services either the night before you are switching so they know. They can also tell you when you will need to have your luggage taken so it arrives in your hotel on the day you check in.
