Hey guys,

If you were having dinner at any resort which would you highly recommend?

Is the restaurant at Animal kingdom lodge any good? That's the one I was looking at because I love animals (especially giraffes!)
Thanks :)

Boma at the Animal Kingdom is a great buffet (best buffet on property I think), arrive early and go out on the animal viewing areas first.

Alternativly Jiko seems to have great reviews, but its a signature and I haven't tried it yet.

While Boma is very good, you cannot see animals from there. Head over to Sanaa at Kidani Village (adjacent to AKL) if you want to dine with safari views.

The Swan: Il Mulino
Yacht Club: Yachtsman Steakhouse
AKL Kidani: Sanaa is real good with a wonderful view, I cant speak to Jiko at Jambo because we wont be trying that until September.
Contemporary: The Wave
Grand Floridian: Citricos

We loved the selection at Boma, and yes, it would've have been really cool to dine with a great view of the animals, but the food was delicious and we opted to check out the animals after dinner. :) Best of both worlds!

Also as an FYI, if you're trying to eat at Sanaa for dinner, it may get too dark outside to view the animals as there is no exterior lighting. Something to consider.

Kona Cafe at the Polynesian is a favorite of mine, particularly the breakfast which I think is one of the best on property. I also have had some wonderful experiences at the California Grill at the Contemporary and would highly recommend it!

Boma at AK is very enjoyable, if you're looking for a buffet... Jiko another fan favorite, as well as Sanaa (which I have not tried) We do love alot of resort restaurants; Kona Cafe, at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand Floridian... depends on where you expect to be park wise for the day. Lots to choose from

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
At AKL/Kidani. :)

Boma for breakfast (my DH and I think this is the best breakfast buffet at WDW)

Jiko (really good signature also one of our faves)

Sanaa @ Kidani (DVC part of AKL) you get great food esp the bread service and a wonderful view of the Savannah and all the animals if you dine during the day.

At all other Resorts some of our faves:

Kona Cafe (breakfast) @ Polynesian
'Ohana (breakfast and dinner) @Polynesian
Turf Club @ Saratoga Springs (hidden gem and always easy to get last minute reservations we really enjoy dining there)
California Grill @ Contemporary
Beaches and Cream @ The Beach Club (delicious sundaes and good burgers etc)
Yachtsman @ The Yacht Club
Artist Point @ Wilderness Lodge
Whispering Canyon Cafe @ wilderness Lodge (great breakfast and dinner option)
Hoop Dee Doo @ Ft . Wilderness

California Grill-to dine & watch fireworks
'Ohana- dinner
Kona-breakfast- Tonga Toast!!!
Boma- dinner

I know that the reviews of this place can be just so-so but, our family really enjoyed the food at 1900 Park Fare on our trip last month. Chef Mickey's has also gotten ALOT better since we last ate there in 12'.

If you're looking at AKL TS...we like Sanaa over a Kidani (the one with the animal viewing) over Boma. You also have the signature option of Jiko.

Outside of that, for resort breakfasts...we like Kona and 1900 PF. For other resort dinners, we like Yachtsman, Flying Fish and Ohana for the food, and Cali Grill and Narcoosee's for the atmosphere.

Sanaa's bread service is amazing! You could make a meal out of it and an appetizer and call it a day.
