Resort Christmas Decorations

My husband and I are going to Disney World on Nov 28 through Dec 3 and we plan on taking a day to visit resorts to see their Christmas decorations. My question is first of all will the resorts be decorated at that time and if so,are there any resorts that are better to see than others.

Also, is there anything that is a "must see" at Christmas time at Disney? This is our first visit at Christmas time (usually go in the fall) and we want to make sure we don't miss anything.

It is my understanding that the resort decorations should be up by the time of your trip.

Allears.net has some pics of the various resorts during the holidays...you can also go onto http://www.suitedisney.com/wdwphotos/ - scroll to mid page- and you should start seeing links to pictures of the various resorts- many of which have specific links to each resort at the holidays.

Not sure what ones will be decorated, I can only suspect most if not all of them will be. We married on the 14th of December, arrived the 13th and our hotel was totally decked out already.

It's fun to go to as many as you can. Definitely hit the Grand Floridian and see the Gingerbread house, also the Poly's and Contemporary. We got married at Wilderness Lodge so it's also on the list of hotels to see for us. Since we went to Disney about 304 times in December, we hit as many as we could each time, usually got to see at least 3-4 resorts, each one is decorated so differently. We never went to the Yacht, Beach, Boardwalk, Old Key West, either Port Orleans or Movies/Sports/Music resorts. It's mostly the transportation of trying to reach each resort. Make sure to hit the Studios for the Osborne Lights.

I agree that you have to go to the Grand Floridian not just for the gingerbread house but for all of the decorations. You also have to do MVMCP. We did it last year for the first time and it was awesome!!!

The parks will have their christmas decorations up early November. Although the christmas festivities at Epcot will not begin until the day after Thanksgiving. These include how Christmas is celebrated in each country and the magnificent Candlelight Processional (a must see).

They have been starting the Osborne Family of Lights at Hollywood Studios earlier each year. Last year it was November 10th.

The resorts usually are not fully decorated until the wednesday night before Thanksgiving. It is up to each resort when they can start decorating. Last year one or two were done before Thanksgiving but everyone was done by the day after Thanksgiving.

Thanks everyone for the information. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge so we will be going to the Magic Kingdom resorts and I guess we will have to see from there. I would like to try and see all the resorts but there may not be enough time.
We are planning on seeing the Osborne Family Lights, the Santa's at EPCOT and possibly the Candlelight Processional (would not do the dinner package, would just wait in line). I don't think we are going to the MVMCP since we decided to splurge and get tickets for La Nouba.
