I think it would be determined by what park I'd be spending more time in. If you are a big Animal Kingdom fan than I would stay with the AKL. If you love the Magic Kingdom and Epcot I would definitely choose the Polynesian. Both resorts are beautiful. I have only stayed in the Polynesian and it is easily my favorite resort.
