I'm going in oct and it will be the first time since turning 21. I've never really looked because I was under 21 but can you buy alcohol in resorts? Do all resorts have alcoholic bars?

There's alcohol everywhere but the MK, I believe. I'm pretty sure all the moderate and up resorts have a lounge/bar and I think the values have pool bars and serve alcohol at the food courts.

Make sure you take the "Beer Tour" at World Showcase. LOL :)
We used to do that in our college days!

Every resort has a pool bar except for Fort Wilderness and the Disney Institute.

All the resorts have other bars also except for the All Stars, Caribbean Beach, and Disney Institute.

The Magic Kingdom is the only park that doesn't serve Alcohol.

Make sure that you go to Jellyrolls, especially if you there on a tueday night. It is the best bar that I have ever been too anywhere (I have been to a fair share of bars in my day.) If you goto Jellyrolls make sure that you say hello to Tom, he is one of the piano players and an awesome person. Another good one is the Tune in Lounge at the Studios.

I thought there was a small lounge in the Caribbean Beach, opposite the food court. Did that close?

One of the best "BEER VALUES" we have found at WDW is at the All Stars pool bars and the Rose and Crown pub. Buy the half meters of beer and refills are cheap. The best thing is we bring our half meter mugs back each time we visit and get the refill price without having to buy the glasses again......we've been saving money this way for years!!!!!! The hardest part is trying to clean those tall mugs!!!

Cheers,

Ratman

Yeah, almost forgot about that one. There used to be another really cozy lounge just opposite... called the "Monorail Club Car". Big padded chairs, great service, free snacks, and amazing views out to Bay Lake for the Electrical Water Pageant.

* sigh *

But the Outer Rim is still a good option. Similar kind of place over at the Polynesian as well... if one wants to club hop via monorail.

Whoohoo! Marky, the beers are on me! (I know you've been on the wagon, and I respect that, but certainly when you finally meet me, we're going to quaff a couple! ;) )

I don't know - personally, I find the salad bar to be kind of depressing (no meat or dessert). They always look at me odd when I just get a plate of bacon bits :lol: .

For me the only good bars are chocolate bars and any bar that has Guinness and Bass on tap (preferably both - that's why I like the Rose & Crown).
