Resort Advice

My family, myself, my parents, my sister and brother in law, my nephew (2yrs old), my brother in law's sister and the possibly my brother in laws parents are thinking of going to the world Jan 2- Jan 6, 2013. (8 adults and one infant)

I have been trying to think of the best accommodations for all of us. I first thought of a off-site rental house, but we all might not be on the same schedule and it will be difficult, transportation wise, if some of us want to get to the parks early or to stay late. So that ruled that out. And you can't beat the excitement of staying on property.

So the next alternative was staying at POR, and getting three rooms, where 2 of the rooms, will have three people in the room and paying the charge for the extra guest. If this happens we would only need 3 rooms. Do all POR rooms have queen size beds? or are we better off at the villas at SSR (treehouse?) or OKW?

If it matters myself and my parents are Florida residents and I am a AP holder. Any suggestions and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We were looking at the Treehouse Villas for 6 of us (4 adults and 2 kids), it would probably be a better value for 9 of you than 6 of us so I would definitely look into them.

It is my understanding that POR now has all queen size beds, but I'm not 100% positive.

Good luck!

PO Resorts.

Both RS and FQ have been renovated and queens fitted. The riverside has a new murphy bed replacing the old trundle and the rooms sleep five including the wee one,I think there in both AB section and Mansions. You can check them out on the unofficial port Orleans web site.

I would probably go with PORS over the Treehouse villa. From a cost standpoint the 3 rooms at PORS will be less by around $120 +/- per night. You will also end up with 6 queen beds and 3 bath rooms. With a tree house you will have only 2 bathrooms 2 queen beds, a bunk bed and a queen pull out sofa and twin pull out chair. The only thing you will gain is a common living room and a full kitchen.
