Reservation Number and ADRs

Hi Guys,

What's the standard format for a reservation number that I can use to make ADRs?

I gave Virgin Holidays a call and got a number in the following format:

LLNNNNNNNNNNNN (Where L is a letter and N is a number)

Is this correct?

Thanks.

I think that there are different reservation number formats depending on the avenue that the reservation was booked through.

I have always seen them as a long string of numbers, but when my fiancee's sister and parents made their reservations (through unknown means), they were a shorter string of character mixed with numbers and letters. I thought it must not be a Disney res. #, but I called for them to add the free dining and they didn't bat an eye when I gave them the "screwy" res. #.

Just give Disney the numbers. The 12 digits in your example is the correct reservation number. The 2 letters is something Virgin does to distinguish resort and room category.

I am a US based travel agent and many of our bookings now have 2 letters in the front too....

Strictly speaking you don't need a reservation number to book ADRs - you won't get one if staying off site.

The only need is if you're booking 10 days worth of ADRs at your 90 day mark and are therefore staying at a Disney resort - and the ADR booking staff would be able to trace your room/package booking through their own computer system if you didn't have it handy
