Hi, anyone know if you can request a certain room number when booking a vacation? I always loved that room at the Polynesian that they advertise with the monorail in front of it. Thanks for many info:wave: ....

You can request whatever you want ... whether it will be granted is a matter of mostly luck.

The best advice is to avoid requesting a specific room number. If that room is unavailable during the entire length of your stay, the room assigner won't know why you requested that room number, and you'll just be assigned any old room. We can't expect them to be psychic, know what I mean?

Instead, request the situation or amenity you're hoping to get. That way, the room assigner can try to help you because he/she can know what it is you're looking for.

And I apologize if you already know this, but PLEASE understand if your request isn't granted, because after all, it's only a request.:)

And keep in mind, requests need to go through the mode you booked it. So if you booked it through AAA, the request goes through them. If you booked it through WDTC, the request goes to them, so on and so forth.

Eric gave you great advice. Being that specific can have its problems. Also what every your request is should have been or be done when you first do your reservation so it can be noted on the reservation. The resorts ask that you do not fax requests. Calling the resort phone numbers do not actually put you in touch with someone at the resort but a call center so if you have not noted your request make sure to call central reservations and have it noted.

If you want that room or a similar room ask for 3rd floor facing the monorail in Aotearoa longhouse.

Those guys above speak the truth (and not just the part about me being right :ROFLOL: ). Put the request in at the time you make your original reservation, with the entity you are making the reservation with. It will be part of your reservation's "permanent record," so to speak. The room assigner will see it.

It's true you can request but they don't garranty. Though we've been really lucky, when we book at the BCV, we like the 5th floor epcot view, it's a great veiw of the fireworks, and both time's we've requested we've got it. Hopefully this year when we go in November we get the same.
