Report on things we didn't like about our trip!

So we are back and I wanted to save all the bad things for it's own post so that it didn't dampen my trip report!

First off...I can not tell you how many uninformed cast members there are! On our anniversary we wanted to take pictures with characters at E-ride because we were all dressed up! We asked So many cast members if there will be any stars out and they all said "oh, um, I doubt it"... so we went to Town Hall and they told us that no characters were going to be out. So we changed into our gym shorts and t shirts.... and wouldn;t you know it... THE SECOND we got back there were characters out... and Mickey and Minnie TOGETHER... how cute would have that pic been???

We actually saw cast members walking around Magic Kingdom with thier purses! That was kinda weird!

When we were renting our boat from the Wilderness there was a coridinator who actually SWORE on the phone right infront of us! He said "sh*t and F*ck" I mean, I swear as much as the next person, but it was so unprofessional and totally not Disney!!!

We were stuck on a monorail between the Grand and the Poly duing a HUGE lightning storm... it was really scary and the captain did little to calm our nerves... we were stuck for about 30 minutes!

I was SO offended at the end of Fantasmic... There was an after party for Gay Day and they floated a HUGE Biccardi float over MGM.... while we were all still in the park! I am 21 years old, I drink, but I mean COME ON! This is Disney here people! There are SO many teenagers and So many children there! Kids were asking if it was Nemo (cause it was Orange) I found it SO irrisponsible and I couldn;'t believe it! Maybe next Biccardi and Test Track can team up and teach kids how to drive drunk

And, I don't know how to put this.... :lookaroun but, I am sure it was accident... but I think found that one of the characters should have watched his hands a little more when "hugging" me. Goofy did the whole "he can;'t be in the picture thing" to Nick and was hugging me and really letting his hands roam :lookaroun I couldn't believe it. I mean I am sure it was a mistake... but... there are lots of girls they are going to have to deal with and I think they should be maybe trained in what places not to touch on a guest.

And another little bummer... we took a really cute pic on Splash Mountain.. we were the only two people who were on it and we gave each other a peck... and it wasn't like we were making out.. because trust me, we were more concerned with our teeth! But they "washed" it! we were SO bummed because it would have been so CUTE! But we understand they have those rules, but it was disapointing

that's it... everything else was PEACHY!

Sorry

As a former Disney employee and supervisor, I would always tell guests to voice their opinion. Supervisors can't be everywhere at once; So when we received a guest compliment or complaint, it was a great springboard for action. and it's nice when doing reviews to be able to give feedback on guest interaction skills. We loved receiving both positive and negative feedback, it only helped us do our jobs better. A written letter with your comments is nice or if you were on site you can always stop by at City Hall.

Just think if next time none of those negative things happened, how much better would your trip have been.

I am glad you had a good time anyway:D

What does "washed out" mean? Deleted?

I would not have been offended or disappointed by any of the examples you mentioned. As for the monorail stop, I would have paid extra for a breakdown such as the one you reported! Also, I hope you reported the incident concerning the poor use of language. Obviously, some CM's go way overboard. You even see some CM's cuss on this board sometimes.

in refrence to the biccardi float...i think you were overreacting because there are advertisments all over about alcohol and cigarettes...so whats the difference if you see it other places besides in magazines, tv and billboards...there is no difference....so i dont think that people arent use to them......just my 2 cents

Myself and the party I was with had a photo "washed" on Splash Mountain in 2001. We were all just leaning toward our respective partners to give a peck and they told us that it was offensive to other people ! Puuuurrrlease!

I think that I would've made a complaint or two especially regarding the language the CM made and the Bacardi float as well.

To add a little humor to this thread, we almost walked on a 6ft. snake on a concrete path by the adult pool at Saratoga Springs. It was moving like crazy toward hubby and me. I yelled snake, and we and everyone behind us started running as fast as we could backwards. I only wish I had gotten a video. But, at the time I was so scared, all I could do was get out of it's way.:D

Ummmm????
Ummmm???? What does this mean? The snake was real, and we went to Artist's Pallet, the CM gave us a glass of cold water, as she could see our distress. Disney does their best to make sure their guests aren't over stressed, from being in Florida, I know there are many snakes, I just haven't seen one in years, at Disney. They did call it in, and was going to find it and move it, to a safer location. I'm 68 years old, and I can't take too many of these incidents with already high blood pressure. Looking back, no one was hurt so it seemed funny to see everyone backing up so fast. I just hope I never see another snake. I'm not sure I want to walk a path with the fear of seeing another snake coming at me, and thrashing around. Funny, and very scary.

Don't see why this needed to be posted in a 13 year old thread so that's why I said and am still saying, ummmmmmmmmmm

Wow.. I must admit.. over the last few years some of the cast members seem a little more 'relaxed' as opposed to juiced up on pixie dust! With regards to the picture on Space Mountain... surely common sense prevails by the cast member in charge of the photos!

I seen alot of CMs that were more relaxed and nice when I visited WDW again in 2006.

This trip was the best. I only encountered one CM with attitude. The rest were so nice and caring. They were the best! 2016, I also didn't see the decline that has been mentioned on here. And I looked. No overflowing trash cans, the bathrooms in better condition than I have seen them in years. They did replace ketchup at Saratoga with a different brand. I liked it better than Heinz, just because things change, it doesn't alway's make it bad. I was truly afraid of what was going on, we had the best time ever. Lot's of painting of buildings going on too. Disney Springs looks very nice too. The upscale restaurant's aren't my thing, but the Deluxe Burger was the best burger I have had in years. It was ground of sirloin, brisket and chuck steak. I want one now.
