VLC is awesome. My favorite feature is when audio doesn't line up to the video, you can delay or forward the audio by the millisecond. I can't get 1080p to play either though.

I can't get 1080p to play either though.

My reason in my computer. I got mine in 2002 and it wasn't a top of the line machine when it came out either. I have a feeling if my computer was up to date, videos would run fine on Quicktime and iTunes, but I would still probably use VLC. The interface is perfect for computers without the processing power of new machines.

Hopefully that helps CaptainHank.

Illuminations was AMAZING. I can't say enough good things about the added ending for tonight. There was a massive rain storm that blew through right before it started, but it was well worth waiting it out because I've never seen so many fireworks at once in my life. Holy moly. Video coming soon, of course. ;)

My computer is circa 2002 as well, but was top of the line when I got it. Still can't get 1080p to play though. Works in Windows media player though. Jeez, you'd think 2 gigs of ram would be enough....

Sounds like it was even a step up from the Peach On Earth finale. Can't wait to see that video and the regular show tomorrow Ricky!

Yup, thanks, it worked! Great video. I actually know at least one, if not two of the cast members from The Land and Imag. I couldn't quite tell with Imag (and did you notice that the host never introduced Imag?), but the female cast member for The Land has been with the boat ride for about 17 years and is a great CM.

All in all, a great ceremony and great video coverage. Thanks!

Just got back, and I gotta say tonight was awesome, even with the torrential down pours. The 25th Anniversary Tag was amazing, and it was so nice to hear songs like, Tomorrow's Child, Listen to the Land, One Little Spark, etc.., again.

Also, it was pretty cool to hear a large amount of people in Epcot cheer when they flashed 25 years up on SSE. It gave me chills. :sohappy:

I've posted a video wrap-up of this morning's Epcot 25th Anniversary events, including rope drop, limited edition t-shirt buying, and the full re-dedication ceremony:

http://www.attractionsmagazine.com/video.php

We had exclusive video access to be on the OTHER side of the rope for rope drop, so you won't see that video anywhere else! It's quite a sight to see the crowds come rushing toward the fountain. :)

If anyone wants to hear my thoughts on the day (along with the NFFC meetings from the past few days), I'll have a complete summary on tomorrow's Inside the Magic podcast.

Enjoy!
Ricky - that video update was amazing!!! THANK YOU so much for posting it!! :sohappy:

It was such a fantastic day, the best I have had in Epcot since the Millinium Celebration!!! I got Marty to sign my imagineering field guide which was amazing. His lecture in the COL theatre was so wonderful. The re-dedication gave me chills, but not as many as I got when I entered the park this morning to hear Listen to the Land and New Horizons, I wish they would play that as the into loop all the time!!!!! The Epcot Center museum is very nice, but too small and hard to find unless you know where to look for it, I wish they would put it on the guidemaps. The daytime fireworks with the re-dedication were a nice touch, and the merch was great... it was even more great seeing all of it being proudly displayed around the park by all who bought it. Then after it rain and it rained and it rained (the deluge) we got the best fireworks show I have ever seen, I loved how they used both TAP and TOD for the music, it really really worked. I could not have had a better day, thank you everyone who made it possible!!!

Yesterday was simply an awesome day. The amount of energy present throughout the entire park was beyond anything I have ever seen at Epcot. Even though there was a lot of people there, the wait times for the attractions actually were not that bad, probably due to the fact that most peopple were more concerned about the 25th events and not seeing things that will be there tomorrow.

Also, I don't know if someone else posted this but the Figment plush has 2 spelling errors on it. Spaceship Earth is spelled SPACESHLP EARTH and Journey Into Imagination is spelled JOURHEY INTO IMAGINATION. It is kind of sadening to see that that no one bothered to use a spell check on it.
