Eh. That sounds like oil or something. I don't get the carpets hate, but I find it's location annoying because that area could use some space, but it's not a bad ride. The one in Paris doesn't even have the spitting camel.

In what way is it not a bad ride? Is it the faded paint, poor maintenance, short length, outdoor queue in Florida heat, or the carnival quality that does it for you?

Its been years since we rode it. Now its on my pass it by list, but I see a lot of guests lining up and riding it. It takes some of the guests who are disappointed in walking up and finding the long waits for JC and PotC that dont want to wait long. Theres a reason to keep it in place. What would go in its place? It doesnt open up room for anything better. If it the vacated space made for a market youd have a bad congestion area.

Bricks and concrete. Which is what that area should have always been.

A case could be made for keeping the spitting camels as part of a larger photo op area, then maybe incorporate one of those find and seek interactive games using Iago, similar to finding Pascal at the Tangled Toilets. But really razing the entire area would be OK too.

Can we please trash this and build an Aladdin DARK RIDE? It is despicable how underutilized that franchise is in the parks.
Removing the Aladdin ride would not leave room for a dark ride. There would have to be another site to put it into. Does Adventureland have land to add it in? Adding it to any other MK area would be building it in where it would not be themed appropriately.

I’m not saying close the ride to build a dark ride there…I’m just saying trash that ride and MK has way more walking room. As for the dark ride idea, I don’t care which park or resort it goes to. I just think it’s ridiculous how there isn’t one at ANY Disney park. Put it in Hong Kong…Shanghai…Tokyo…Anaheim…I don’t care…I just want to see one.

"Mr. D'Amaro, tear down this spinner!"

But really... this might be the single worst immersion-breaker in any of the WDW parks. What was once an immersive locale suddenly became a space that screams "amusement park" (what what Disney Parks are supposed to be, needless to say). Remove the spinner, and you have an newly-immersive area in The Magic Kingdom. It's shameful that this was built at all, and doubly so that it wasn't removed immediately upon the removal of Paul Pressler!
