Replace Grand fiesta tour with Cocoa

Didn't make enough money yet. To be worthy of a ride you need to make a billion dollar grossing movie (like Frozen) or a series of movies that can reach a billion dollars (like Toy Story)... Otherwise you're not worthy.... Coco has not even reached the minor attraction level of Lilo and Stitch.... So when Coco gets a sequel or sells a half a billion in toys I might expect Disney to create a ride for the show... until then why create something as expensive as an attraction when the movie will likely be less memorable than Gummi Bears.

Yeah... that's not true at all. Alice, Ratatouille, Song of the South, A Bug's Life, and TRON would beg to differ.

Although the initial response was intended to be in jest... Maybe it can be argued that the billion dollar mark is 1/2 a billion and Song of the South was given an Oscar Exemption... that would allow the rule to still hold true, as only Song of the South and Tron will ever have rides at Disney World. Bugs life is not really a ride just a Stitch attraction without the burp... The others aren't at Disney world only at other Disney parks... And who knows Tron may have been announced but it could still get turned into some Star Wars Speeder Bike ride which wouldn't surprise me at all, they may have intended to simply pull the Shanghi ride to Disney World, but they could still bastardize it into Star Wars or Marvel.

We went to see Coco earlier tonight.
INCREDIBLE!!!!

I think that’s one of the best movies that Disney has put out in a long time, if not ever.
The Frozen short beforehand was cute too.
DH and I agree! We LOVED it!! The detail was AMAZING in the animation (I was blown away with the animation of Coco). I wish there was more merchandise for the movie. Definitely going to have to get the MB!!

Good point... need to add in Dumbo and the Magic Carpets and of course Peter Pan and Small world.... I guess the dollar to ride theory only applies to rides after 2001. In the end I still don't think Coco deserves a ride, at any level it just wasn't that great of a movie.

Only if they fix the queue problems while they're in there. It's really not fair to guests eating at San Angel Inn to have to deal with a ride queue of smelly coughing loud and annoying people literally queued for the ride next to their tables while they try to enjoy their overpriced dinner.

I thought they intentionally had the queue by the diners in the hopes that hungry folks in line would be tempted to indulge in the Disneyfied version of Mexican food. Frankly San Angel always reminds me of an old Casa Bonita we went to when I was a kid... Looks like a cool place to eat but actually tastes worse than most non-themed mexican restaurants.

Have you been there lately? They went through a big menu change a few years ago, and everything I've had there has been excellent.

Probably the last time was 8 or 9 years ago.... at that time I was just reminded of how generic they were able to make Mexican food... reminded me of what my college used to serve us on any of their ethnic themed meals, something that kind of looked right but had a real lack of flavor.

As long as they're not replacing the Three Caballeros with Ovaltine, I'm good with it.
