Anyone ever done this or have any information on it (i.e., pricing, etc). I've observed various size events held at various spots along the lake for illuminations, including drinks, food etc. and just wondering if anyone can share any experiences and whether it was worth it etc (i.e., for special occassion with family etc)?

Thanks

I have no idea who you'd contact to arrange a dessert party by the lake for Illuminations just as a private event. I do know these are commonly done as add-ons for Disney weddings (for arrival receptions & such). I read on another forum just last night that depending on the size, etc. as a wedding package add-on they run anywhere from around $500 on up. Decor, menu, drinks, # of people, etc. dictate the cost, of course. I'm sure they would be subject to a minimum expenditure. As a stand alone event I really don't know. Seems like there'd be a special events number to call to try & do one.

You need Epcot Event Services to arrange it. We had our wedding ceremony, reception, and Illum dessert party in Epcot. Incredible experience, everything you would expect from Disney and more.

Cost was based around a per head food and beverage spend, and a location fee. You are going to be in the region of $1000+ for one of the smaller locations.

If you have a chance to do it go for it!

My corporate Christmas party at the Living Seas last year apparently ran around $15k for ~70 people. And that was with a discount for being a corporate sponsor in WDW.
