Renting DVC and internet??

My friends and I are staying in Saratoga Springs, we were booked through a friend's DVC membership, but the actual member is not staying with us. Does anyone know if the hard-line internet is free for us since it was booked by a DVC member? One friend is planning on bringing their computer and I don't want them to do so and then realize the internet is $5 a minute or whatever ungodly price they charge.

Yes, it's free. Just stayed at BCV on a friends points. My 15yr old used his laptop every day. We were not charged a thing.

You have to use the hard line, you can't use wireless. I remember when I travelled with DVC members, when you first open up the internet, it shows a screen that says you will be charged, yadda yadda yadda, but you just click go ahead and it works, free.

I think the cable for the internet was in the closet. They ask you to leave it on the night stand when you leave.

They changed their policy in May-ish of this year so that DVC members get free internet when staying at DVC resorts. It doesn't apply when staying at the others. Neither does it apply for non-DVC members. Otherwise it's about $10 per contiguous 24 hours. (i.e. if you get it at 5:03pm Tuesday you can use it until 5:03pm Wednesday)
