I really liked Alamo use them on our honeymoon we paid a really good deal and had a charger for it was really nice
My car rental experience is mostly limited to business travel, but I have had good luck with the national chains particularly Enterprise and Hertz. I believe both will let you put as many miles as you want on the car, and just pay the daily rates.
There are some rental companies that offer very low deals but then either bait and switch into a more expensive vehicle, or have lots of unreasonable fine print in the rental contracts.
thank you!!!Also a lot will depend on where YOU live and where you can go to get the car in the first place, unless you're renting from some place that will either pick you up (I believe Enterprise's slogan is "we'll pick you up?") or bring the rental car to you. If you're in, say, NYC, getting to the airport to not only get a rental car but one at probably a better price than other rental locations is kind of a big deal (it seems like prices are often better if you're picking up at an airport). But if you live upstate and there aren't many rental locations around you, your pickings might be slimmer in the first place. Also make sure what the mileage situation is - for example, checking out enterprise, they include unlimited mileage but for in-state traveling only. Otherwise, mileage is capped. It's still fairly generous but you may wind up paying extra.
Have you thought about taking a train and then renting a car once you're there?
thank u, i will check hotwire toI've now used Hertz, Enterprise, Alamo, and Budget. Didn't have a problem with any of them. I prefer to pick up at Memphis international, because they let you choose what car you get in that class. I advise using Hotwire or Priceline and name your own price. You can get really good deals!
Hi we are going in August and renting a car to drive from NY to Fl.
I was hoping someone can help me with the best places to rent, discounts etc.
TIA
Danielle
