Millions of guests are impacted by this visual eyesore and it ruins aesthetic of Main Street USA. The crane behind Cinderella's castle should be removed

Thanks but we have gone for 30 years and the crane wasn't there for most of that time. They found a way to hang and remove lights without it. There are a lot of smart creative people at WDW, I know there must be another way.I hear people complaining about every time I am at Disney and it is so annoying to hear. We just won't get Christmas lights on the castle if you don't want to see the crane. They have to get put up somehow, taken down somehow, and the castle has to be painted once they are taken down. I feel bad for people that only come once in a lifetime and it is there, but they could have picked a different time to come.
No they didn't. The dream lights were first installed in 2006 I believe and a crane has been used every year. Thanks but we have gone for 30 years and the crane wasn't there for most of that time. It's just a bummer for anyone, not just us. It was really busy last week and so many people were talking about it. It's always an option to do nothing and just let it slide. I'd rather see the place preserved for everyone all year. The crane is there from Jan-Feb every year. They do more work with it during the week when it is less busy and it is barely even visible during the weekends or when it is more busy. If it is really that much of an eyesore, I suggest you plan your visits for another time during the year.
You don't think there is a better way? Limiting it to after hours perhaps? They decorate after hours, why not remove decorations after hours? No they didn't. The dream lights were first installed in 2006 I believe and a crane has been used every year.

What other way would you recommend? Having a bunch of guys anchored down and scalling the castle at night? I'm not sure that'd be very safe. Since you're bringing this up...you've obviously seen the crane and how big it is. It's not exactly something that can be hidden...You don't think there is a better way? Limiting it to after hours perhaps? They decorate after hours, why not remove decorations after hours?
Do you know how much effort it takes to get that crane(s) into position? Or were you too busy using this site for your petition to look first? You don't think there is a better way? Limiting it to after hours perhaps? They decorate after hours, why not remove decorations after hours?
I agree. It didn't ruin the vacation but as it's the center of the park it is a lot more noticeable than a closed ride. We love WDW and will always go back. Just a bummer I guess, and seems lazy that with all the smart minds over there they can't come up with a better way. It's just one of those things that people who like to complain...will. People complain when the parks look bad, or a ride doesn't function or look good, but then complain when that ride gets closed for renovations. Does it stick out...yes. Should it ruin your vacation or day...not at all.
Sorry, I'll take it down. Didn't think it would offend or was inappropriate on this particular site. Don't really know that the amount of time the crane takes to put up means anything thoughDo you know how much effort it takes to get that crane(s) into position? Or were you too busy using this site for your petition to look first?
There is always going to be some form of construction going on during the year. It happens. The crane, as I said, tends to be up during the week and is definitely not up all day. This was taken in January. The crane was there, but obviously not in use right thenIt's just a bummer for anyone, not just us. It was really busy last week and so many people were talking about it.
