Okay, so it's the 6th already so sue me. =D I was wondering if anyone went to epcot for todays Guy Fawkes Celebration over in the UK? It was all decorated and pins and pennies and new kidcot add ons for today and prize giveaways were being giving out. I wanted to be there so badly but I work from oh, 8:45-9:30 today. =D

So yeah, did anyone go, take pictures win anything? And is this the first time they do this over at epcot?

I was there. I thought that the activities were for kids and didn't try them, but a CM approached me and offered a questionnaire (about the UK area - everything was answerable by wandering there). A correctly completed one got you a small straw man on a stick.

Yeah, i was there, but then some crazy ninja in a creepy mask came out talking like Agent Smith, or maybe Elrond; and blew up the pavilion!

:lookaroun what?

anyone? anyone? big movie... came out earlier this year? :lookaroun directed by the Matrix guys? based on a graphic novel? Alan moore? no? noone? hmm, ok

I had never heard of Guy Fawkes day, but I'm in the UK right now on business. I kept seeing fireworks last night, and so I was educated about the history and the holiday when I went into the office today. What better way to celebrate a foiled explosion than with fireworks?!? :drevil:

late Oct - early Nov is also Dewali the Hindu festival of lights, so depending on where you live you get twice the bang.

Still make the most of it beacuse certain sections of the professionaly offended want to phase out bonfire night because its offensive.

So, did the Mexico pavillion have a big celebration on May 5th? Does the France pavillion have a celebration on Bastille Day? Does the China pavillion celebrate the Chinese New Year? Or is this just a UK thing?

I know that japan and canada both have celebrations and yes, so does mexico....I think it has a lot to do with how much the pavilions fork out to do the celebrations.
