People are complaining about Wishes in the song. We can just think of it as WDW's gift to Disneyland!

I wish they'd give us a new gift rather than old stuff they had laying around...

I agree. Not to knock MK at all, cuz I loves me some MK, but come on!! It's Disneyland's 50th!! Doesn't that deserve something original? Something we haven't heard already? That's all I'm saying.

Sure it would be nice that MK is represented by the Wishes theme but the problem is the theme itself emphasizes the term "Wishes" too much whne the show should eb about "Dreams" and yet asside from the narrator, "Dreams" is hardly mentioned. (well maybe it's part of the Wishes lyrics but still...)

That's so unfair! ANd how come neither Fantasmic! or Believe are represented?

Wow I became a DL fan...I didn't expect that....

I'm a little surprised they did use the Wishes theme. Afterall, they did create and recrod a special 50th theme song. Instead of it being incorporated into the firework show though, its the track that plays after the show is over (and its sounds like it will be a very nice song from the short clip I heard at Disneyland.com).

The Wishes theme does seem to work though, but seems odd to us Wishes fans. A lot of what was used is a rendition of "When you wish upon a star" anyways, which is all about wishing for a dream come true. The whole show starts with wishes of what would be a "dream come true" for select Disney characters (direct lift from MK's show) and then goes into the grandest dream of them all...DL. Considering the DL specific part is as long as your typical fireworks show to begin with (somewhere around 12 minutes) and is LOADED with eyecandy from the pics and short video clips posted on the net, the Wishes parts are just extra pieces for the show anyways. Hopefully it won't ruin the show for anybody. From early reviews, its too good to let that get in the way.

I wouldn't be talking. We just HAD to get Soarin'.

Yeah, but it's OUR birthday, we're the ones that should be getting the good gifts. The other parks are just supposed to be getting the party favors anyways.

It seems that Remember When is just the Happiest Celebration on Earth equivalent to Promise from the Millenium Celebration: Something they just play after the asskickingest fireworks shows ever.

Sure but Promise's melody is evident in both the parade and the fireworks show. it's like a mixture of "We Go On" and the music from "Tapestry of Nations".

True... True...
It occured to me that it would of been inevitable that they would use Wishes audio anyway. The original narrator was Jiminy Cricket, so they easily could of reused much of the audio, though probably record some new stuff as well for park based stuff. Thankfully, they hired Julie Andrews to do the narration instead or there would be more recycled stuff.
