Between the 20th and the 25th aniversary of WDW there was this show in the Fountain in front of SE that was kinda like Fantasmic! but with (and i can't remeber correctly) the Space Mikey and Minney (the ones that looked like Rainbow Brite circa '80's) and a Robot Dragon / Dinosaur. The only missing part from Fantasmic! was the Water proyectors and Barges with other caracters, but as for the rest was basicly the same.

Does someone had pictures or video of this show?

Splashtacular!

found it on a Google search:

_Splashtacular was actually based on a Tokyo Disneyland show called "It's Magical: Tokyo Disneyland 10th Anniversary Spectacular". _The premise of the show was that Sorcerer Mickey took classic Disney characters and the audience though a world of color. _Maleficent then shows up and takes the colors away. _She turns into a dragon and Mickey battles her (like in Fantasmic) to bring color back to the world. _

_The Epcot version of this show premiered in 1994 and was held in the large fountain behind Spaceship Earth. _In addition to a name change, Mickey's costume was changed to a futuristic style. _As with the Tokyo Disneyland show, the characters started out with a tribute to colors. _Minnie sang about the shade of pink. _Chip and Dale liked green. Pluto and Goofy's favorite colors were yellow and orange. _Donald was partial to blue. The music and most of the costumes were the same as the Tokyo Disneyland show, although the villains became robotic bad guys with a dinosaur-like mechanical monster. _

_The show featured nearly 50 performers and also a giant inflatable rainbow balloon. _The computer-controlled fountain was capable of sending jets of rainbow-colored water high into the air (up to 150 feet) and synchronizing action with symphonic music. _

_Splashtacular didn't last very long. _The show may have been canceled because it created pedestrian traffic jams and if it was windy, the audience and the actors would get drenched!

I also remember the very first 3D movie at "Epcot Center". It was in the Imagination building and was before Capt. EO. I don't remember a whole lot about it except that there was a witch in it that shot lightning from her finger tip out into the audience and it scared my little sister.

Anyone remember that? I saw it in 1983, long before Horizons, Living Seas and Wonders of Life were even open.

One of my friends has a video of it, and showed it to me about a month ago. I had never seen anything as riduculous and futuristic looking stilt walkers doing a kickline as part of the finale of the show. It was hysterical.

Before Captain EO the show at the Magic Eye Theater (next to Imagination – where Honey I Shrunk the Audience now lives) was call Magic Journeys. I never saw it at EPCOT Center but they moved it to the Magic Kingdom (where Mickey’s Philharmagic now lives) and I saw it there. The show was bizarre :veryconfu with just one strange 3-D image after the next and it had a hypnotic song that would have put you to sleep :snore: if not for the weird 3-D film being shown. I think there was a vague story about some kids I remember them flying a kite early in the film, but that’s about it.

Thanks. I have that song on a CD and wondered where it came from.

I remember other parts about the movie but I do remember it being very strange as well. Thanks for your help.

i was absolutely enthralled by it as a child, but i'm sure if i saw it now, i'd just think it was ridiculous. but it seriously used to be my favorite show in WDW, especially since there was a t-rex in it! i used to know the songs to it and everything. i used to never tire of watching it.
