About 6 months ago I was terminated from WDW. I worked there for about 6 months as part time, I got sick, and Disney put me on medical leave without me knowing after I called out about 3 times. I thought They weren't scheduling me anymore, until I got a letter in the mail saying I needed to send medical info in by a certain time. I don't have insurance so going to the doctor wasn't an option, then I got ONE call from Disney a week later saying I needed to send medical info in by the next day or I would be terminated. I didn't get a chance to send in the papers because it was such a short notice. I did get sick enough during the time I was on medical leave I went to the doctors a couple of times, and I still have some bills left to show them.

I'm wondering if it is possible to work there again, after how I got terminated.

You'll need to head into casting, apply, and start the whole process again. With several other hurdles to jump through.

I left on my own without notice back in 2007 and have reapplied and interviewed 4 times in the last 3 years. As mkt said, there will be "several other hurdles to jump through". But if you are like myself and really want to be back, it's worth the effort. Best of luck!!!

I too am in a similar spot. I'm a previous DRC cast member and had been out and automatically put on medical leave. I contacted leaves to let them know that I was going through a very traumatic family emergency and requested a personal leave. This was a mistake because they removed my medical leave and changed it all to call outs. After reviewing my case they determined that I was ineligible for a personal leave and I returned to work. I spoke with my leader and I must add he was truly great and very helpful with trying to get an exception of any kind for me. But unfortunately it didn't go our way. I was not terminated but advised that it'd be in my best interest to resign and reapply after 6 months. This would be in January for me. A week or so ago I contacted casting to proactively check my rehire status and there it was "restricted rehire". I've been very discouraged and actually depressed ever since finding this out and I really do not know what to do. That role was my life and at a time where I lost everything was all I had left. I just want to go back. I was a good cast member while I was there and had a lot of recognition. I just can't help but feel discouraged after reading about this restricted rehire status. Has anybody been through this successfully and have any advice or tips?
