It seems like I've been posting a lot of pictures. I'm just so excited, I had such a good trip. Anyway, here the last one for a while. In front of the Hat at MGM, there was this structure. This was one towards the right of the hat, there was one just like it on the left. Anyone know what it was for? This was also taken May 28th.
We just filmed a show on property. There's a similar setup at Magic Kingdom in Adventureland. I'm assuming it's for Summer Jams, but I don't know when it airs.

Very nice pics. can you let us know what kind of camera you used and the settings, unless it is all automatic. thanks in advance :D

Thank you very much donaldduck1967! Actually, I used a Sony Cyber Shot DSC-P5. For all of those I think it was automatic. Occasionally I change the focus and ISO setting, but they were all outside, day shots, so no adjustments were necessary. Hope that helped.

Oh, and thanks for the Summer Jams suggestions everyone.

Maybe its just me being cynical, but I HATE when I'm down there and I see things like this. I know it has to be done, but can't rehab be done in the winter months, or fall when park numbers drop off. I mean I've been two summers in a row, and there's ALWAYS been these blasted tarps up. I know WDW is big and in constant need of rehab, I just wish they'd do it at another time. I thought they ALWAYS used to do it in Winter. OH! And don't EVEN get me started on Main Street U.S.A.- Probably still have a dang rehab tarp up somewhere! Ok, I'm stepping off of my soapbox...:animwink:

These are not rehab pictures, for the most part. The Italy Pavillion apparently had work that could not wait and the other two attractions were under construction in the fall, winter, and spring and are still not complete. If disney did not work during these months, these new attractions would take an obscene amount of time to open...you would basically have to tack an extra year onto Mission: SPACE's construction time. I prefer to see the tarps up one year so I can come back the next year and see everything shimmering. As a person who visits in the winter and pays more for a hotel room than anyone coming in the summer (Thanksgiving through New Years is holiday season and mid-Feb through mid-April is Peak season), I don't think there should be any more rehab in the cooler months than now. Blizzard Beach was closed for my entire visit and hours were shorter than they are now...people who go in the summer should be happy with the longer hours and the fact that everything is open while they pay less for their hotel rooms...just remember there are thousands of people at disney world every day...done ranting:)
