Rehab of PotC and Space Mountain needed

I have just got back from 3 days at Disney land Paris and have to say what a great place it is, obviously compared to WDW on a very smaller scale. What I have to say is that after riding PotC and Space Mountain it is time for the WDW to have a re-hab ala Small World. Both are far superior to the US versions and PotC in particular is completely different with far better animatronics and 2 drops !!!

Also I know that DLP is on a far smaller scale but the Disney Characters were alot more visible than they are at WDW (i was at WDW in Feb so have a good knowledge to make a comparison) and alot of the characters not usually seen ie. Brother Bear, Daisy Duck and Jafar for example.

Only disappointments are that the europeans do not know how to behave, saw lots of examples of graffiti on rides, toilets and even on mirrors !!!! Also they are rude and do not know the meaning of how to queue properly. Apart from this if Disney can sort out the scum element ie vandals and give the mentioned areas a new lick of paint then all wil be fine.

I will not hesitate to go back, whilst I wait for my next visit to WDW to come round...Thumbs up to DLP:sohappy:

Interesting observations. Very similar to mine from a trip a few years back. I loved Paris' Space Mountain and thought how cool it would be to have it at WDW. And then MGM got RnRC. I loved the PotC themeing out front with the big Pirate ship. Of course no room at WDW for that. But then I got to thinkingt about how cool it is that the two parks are so similar yet a bit different. I enjoy having varieties of the same ride. As for rehabs, I agree. So long as they keep the basic existing integrity of the rides but clean em up and upgrade the technology a bit....

That rehab may be coming up within the next year (POTC). Stay tuned.

I would like to see the same done (minus the addition of John Depp :lookaroun) to Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress.

WDW's Pirates has always been the weakest of the four. There have been rumblings about they extending it and making you go uphill like you do at DL.

Speaking of needing un upgrade, the scene in Splash where Brier Rabbit "hops" by you wasn't working this April nor last March (2004). Has it been broken for an entire year?

Nope.. it works on and off. Be glad that you didn't ride Splash during Grad Nite weekends... (!!)
