Whats the difference between this? Its the first time I am seeing it. We are going to be in Kidani in a 2 bedroom. We have requested that it have two real beds in the 2nd bedroom, not a bed and a sofa. Which of these room types would we be getting?
You'll want a dedicated 2-bedroom. The second room has two real beds. A lock-off is a 1-bedroom with an attached Studio (connecting door). They're two units, if two different guests book the 1-br and studio, but they combine them into a Lock-Off 2BR if a guest books one of those.
You will want a dedicated 2-BR. Might call Member Services to clarify this with them.
One more difference. If you get a meal plan, DDP will not track the meals used for each room. So if there are two families, the biggest eaters -- or fastest -- will win. You will need to track the meals used manually.
Thanx! No meal plan this year. For us, 6 adults it makes way more sense to pay out of pocket. No need for 6 entrees and 6 deserts. Would rather get a couple appetizers to split and a couple deserts to split. I usually only do the meal plan if its during a promotion.
A 2BR lock off, while having a bed and couch in the second BR instead of 2 beds, does have the kitchnette in the second bed room (the one that a studio would have). This does come in handy sometimes (like if you have so many people that some are sleeping on the LR pull out, and some kids want to have a early snack when they wake up - you put them in the lock off so they can use the kitchenette, without waking up everyone else.
