Refurb question

When a ride goes down for refurbishment they anounce the dates it will close and re-open. My question is, has any ride ever re-opened earlier than expected? Or, are those dates set in stone?

I think it's happened several times before, with soft openings. None of the dates are completely set in stone, but I guess since visitors want to know, a date is provided. Sometimes it takes longer, and sometimes it opens early!

It depends on the type of Refub. . If it is just a touch-up/fix-up, a plussing, or a re-themeing. I think that Disney learned alot from the "refub." of World of Motion to give some leeway in their reopening dates:lol: .

I hope not because if they make SSE early I will miss it. I really wonder why Disney would do refurbs like this during summer. I know HM is so it can be ready for Halloween. But why not not do SSE and RNRC in November/ January/Febuary/March

Well for Feb- March that is the peak season.. Its spring break .very busy..
