Refrigerators??

A few weeks ago I read a rumor on these boards about refrigerators now being in all rooms at Port Orleans Riverside. Can anyone thats been there the last week or so tell us if it's true or not? Leaving in 6 days and would like to know for sure before we leave. Thanks for your help! :wave:

Always check your room, even if you haven't paid for a refrigerator! We were staying at the All Star Movies Resort during hurricane Frances. We lived off of a cold pizza, chips, and cookies for two days. When we were packing to leave, I went through the dresser drawers to make sure we hadn't forgotten anything and found a fridge under the television behind a door that looked like a drawer. We were so mad, as we could have bought sandwiches and other real food.

big news here yes all moderate and luxury hotels get free frigeraters disney passed a policy, all value hotels can get a fridge for $10. a day.ever since are trip 2003 to disney we always buy spring water and soda to disney and always request a fridge cheaper then buyin in the parks .

I forgot to request fridge when I made my ressies. I have type II diabetes and usually request one for my juice and snacks. Do I need to call and add a fridge to my ressies at Poly or will it be in the room? Or can I wait til check in and request one then? Help please! :hammer:

You'll be fine just requesting one when you get there. Depending on when your reservation is for, there's a good chance of your room already having a fridge.

I stayed at PO Riverside during the first half of my trip (Sept 14 - Sept 18) I saw someone say they were getting refrigerators in all the rooms too so I had hoped we would have one. We didn't. Hopefully they have put them in now but as of two weeks ago they still had not.

We were there the week after you at POR and no refrigerator either. I was going to request one, but kept forgetting so I said oh well, maybe next time it will already be there.

We stayed in the Carribean Beach Resort this past August and there was a brand new, black cubed refrisgerator right next to the dresser.

We were so pleased.

I was on the phone with CRO today making a reserv. The agent did confirm that refridg. would be in all rooms for mod. & deluxe resorts soon. :sohappy:

We just got back from the Poly, and a frig was in our room next to the TV.
Not a Temporary item. Secured in the armoire and lockable. Looked new too.

It's looks like a grocery stop on the way would be well worth the trip to at least get some drinks for the room!

When we stayed at the CBR last month I requested one in my reservation,knowing it was free. It was on my res. and said $10 daily fee but they don't charge you. They did have to bring me a fridge though,the room wasn't equipped yet. IF YOU HAVE RESERVATIONS IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHES at a deluxe or mod. call and request a fridge now. You won't pay and it will GUARANTEE you have one on your visit
