Where is the control room for RoE located?

Good Luck and Good Night!

Not quite

You're kind of on the right track. It is controlled from the top of something. (ie the main control room is located there).

Guess Again! :D

Or is it from the top of the American Adventure pavillion? That's one of their best vantage points for an unobstructed view of the lagoon and everything.

That was going to be my next guess seeing as how Eisner watched the Y2K festivities from up there. :)

WE HAVE A WINNER!

Your are correct!

The main control room is on top of the Mexican pavilion in the world showcase pavillion. This main control room, however, doesn't contain everything that runs RoE, as any person would probably know. The main control room houses the on/off switches for each barge that shut down individual barges in case of failure or mishap. The main control room also contains the diagnostic computers and screens that act like hospital monitors for people, constantly analyzing the "heartbeat" of the components of the show.

Great Job Maria and welcome to RoE trivia!:sohappy:

:king:Current Score:king:
MGMBoy: 100 points
DBF John: 95 points
Turkey Leg Boy: 30 points
Grinning Ghost: 20 points
Maria: 10 points Welcome!

Here's the next question:

Disney is known for "making things come out of no where" to give a kind of eutopian atmosphere. Cast Members don't allow and will ask those sitting on rocks around the lagoon (example: the rocks near Canada) to get off the rocks. Why do they not allow anyone to sit on the rocks?

Good Luck!

Because they have firework launchers in the rocks, bridges, buildings etc...all hidden ;)

WE HAVE A WINNER!

You are correct!

I don't know what you mean by trees, but lights are on poles that are hidden inside the rocks. Cast Members raise them before the show after clearing people away from them. Then, after the show, the computers that run the show automatically lower them back into the rocks after ample time has passed for the crowds to clear out of EPCOT. On top of the lights are seamless rocks that when lowered completely, blend into the rock formation. Pretty neat huh?!

Great Job MGMBoy!:sohappy:

MGMBoy: 110 points
DBF John: 95 points
Turkey Leg Boy: 30 points
Grinning Ghost: 20 points
Maria: 10 points

Here's the next question:

How many patents does Disney have for technology created specifically for RoE?
:pBONUS QUESTION!!:p
For 5 extra points, what is one of the patents for?

NOTE: You MUST get the quesion right in order to get the bonus points. Even if you get the bonus question right, you won't get any of the points. So be VVVVEEERRRYY careful!!!:animwink:

Good Luck!

5? I know that if it's wrong I won't get the bonus points but I KNOW they patented at least a few new firework types as well as a way to fire them that was more environmentally friendly ("...having a decreased environmental impact ") At least that's what I could find. (And trust me...I REALLY looked)
