News Reflections of Earth confirmed to be replaced by Harmonious

I'd imagine they may have just taken a snapshot when the center screen isn't supposed to have an image yet? Or as others have said they haven't finished the tweaks/testing yet.
They're definitely hiding the IP at the moment since the arched barges are always shown with what looks like generic transitional media, but the water screen still looks comparatively unfocused to the point of seemingly not meshing very well.

So far, consider me not impressed. The fountains look really silly in the photos we've seen. And the barges feel kind of pointless. I don't know what I am meant to be seeing with the ring, arms, water hoses and art screens. To me, it does not look 'epic' as they tried to sell it. I don't quite see how it could get better than what we've seen. Is this it? Or are the promotional photos underselling it? Please let it be the latter.

Want it to be the latter to, but I doubt it.

If you are not impressed with the water screen, then you are absolutely correct because the original vision was to have the center be a segmented spinning/rotating LED screen which would've looked much cleaner/crisper. Imagery shown at D23 during a harmonious preview

had they've gone with this, it would've allow harmonious to be a 360° show like its predecessors
imo having a ring shaped water screen feels uncreative since there are lots of it in asia

Is dollar signs the reason they switched to the flat water screen over this? The 4 screen barges appear to have remained the same design.

As many have said, I have no doubt this will be a technically spectacular show, with high guest ratings, and with breathless and effusive praise from the blogger/vlogger crowd. And I'm sure I will enjoy it once a trip. But I am worried that it will be Yet-Another-Disney-IP-Spectacular, never coming close to the same resonance experience that was RoE. I hope they prove me wrong.

As long as there is a recognizable song or two and fireworks the general public will love it. But that's exactly the issue at hand, the average guest will love the most basic songs and fireworks so it's up to the Imagineers/show team to create a cohesive theme and plot for the show to fit with the park.

By making each nighttime show a Disney movie montage, it automatically devalues the other shows being presented.
Moana is already in HEA and so is Hercules and they will almost undoubtedly now be in Harmonius too. What's the difference between the shows other than show tech now? not much.
Each park has so much to offer to differentiate itself from the others but those differences are now utilized less and less.

Agree on all of the above. I have yet to see a show photo where the fountains impressed me; if anything, I feel all the shots so far would look better WITHOUT the fountains. There's just nothing attractive about them - they don't seem particularly big or impressive, they're surprisingly poorly lit, they're spraying at all kinds of wired angles... you're just left confused about what they're supposed to be doing.

And the multiple barges feel pointless because, based on what we've seen so far, they are. They're not showing anything unique from one to the other so you're just left wondering why the same thing is being shown in 5 different places. It also means there's no clear focal point, making the whole affair seem even more messy and disjointed.

Bingo. I suspect the general public will find the pyro, lasers, and lighting effects dazzling to a degree, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the feedback also ends up being along the lines of, "It's neat, but it's just a weirder/messier version of the Magic Kingdom show. On a lake."

We know the vloggers will lose their **** over HARModious. I just wonder how many casual visitors will also eat up the modern Disney movie references and whizz-bang-flashy-stuff, though. That is what concerns me. This thing becoming a dud within a year (generous but, for the $$$ they’ve wasted spent on it, appropriate) would be optimal for its removal, if you ask me. Ok, removal is going too far and hoping for too much, but if you can dream it… 😉

While not as large, we have a pretty good timeframe to go off of for an unpopular show being closed; Rivers of Light. (personally, it was my favorite but I know the sentiment was not largely shared)

Opened in 2017 & closed in March 2020. (pandemic could have sped up the process who knows)

So even if it's not popular, ~3 years minimum would be the length of the show's run.
Far more likely however would be the show being redone with new digital scenes from different movies or maybe even *dramatic pause*

😲an original story and score!😲 - we can only hope

I’d agree. Personally, I’d guess this has a minimum of a 4-5 year run even if it’s poorly received. The outlay for it has been too large. Best case scenario would be an original show and score to truly succeed RoE.
