I know it hasn't had the best guest satisfaction ratings, but for a 20 year show that doesn't rely on IP, why would they feel its replacement must rely on IP? Make a great enough show and IP will never be necessary.

20 years is a good run. Interesting how they're doing a double-whammy of ending one show and starting a new one on the same night.

I’m confused by that part of it, do they actually mean like on the last night of Illuminations the new show will debut right after it ends, or do they mean similar to Wishes/Happily Ever after where one ended on say a Friday and the new one debuted the next night on Saturday.

I think they mean the new show will debut the same night. Similar to the tags for Independence Day and Christmas that run immediately after the regular show.

The music of Illumination was always incredible. IMHO, so was the whole display.

I still have dreams tied to the RoE music. I guess that is a personal problem.

It's really frustrating that the show will probably go the IP route even though we know they can still make a nighttime show in that Millennium Celebration spirit like Rivers of Light.

Not every nighttime show has to be "I CLAPPED WHEN I GOT THE REFERENCE"

I am excited we are getting a new show, but hate hearing it will have IPs. ROE is am amazing show, that had a long run. It is time for something new. Hopefully they tastefully use IPs, and dont just recreate HEA.
