Refillable Mugs

So what is everyone's stance on using the refillable mug to fill a different cup then filling the mug again? Probably frowned upon but I am paying enough damn money to stay there they can give me a drink every once and awhile.

Refillable mugs are .... refillable! I think you have to wait maybe 2 minutes to get a refill but other than that, you can get as many as you want.

I guess I’ve missed something in the question. 😁

Well yeah but it seems like filling it up just to dump it in a tumbler or canteen then filling it up again is frowned upon

If you were doing it because you only bought one for the family, then it would be frowned upon. And I guess the CMs might assume that’s what you were doing if you were tipping it into a tumbler.

In a bottle in the cold beverage case with the beers.

How did I miss this when I stayed at the Poly?
One reason I'm buying a refillable mug on my next trip is that WDW no longer gives lids for their soft drinks in theme parks. Last trip I brought an old refillable mug (with a lid) and poured my soft drink into the mug, snapped on the lid, and that way I didn't worry about spilling the drink on the way to the table. Next time I plan to buy a refillable mug, that way I can also get "free" drinks at any resort. And like someone else said, a great souvenir! Heck, I still have my refillable mug from some resort called "Dixie Landings".;)

Well it was just my wife and I and yeah we did this, I would get a soda and then she would get coffee. Nobody ever said anything to us and I saw a few others do it too. People could also just assume you are putting into a more park friendly canteen instead of bringing the refillable mug to the park that won't fit in the side of a back pack and spills if tipped over for a few seconds.

I do it all the time and fill my cup up and another non-drip travel container with lemonade to take to the park or just to take back to the room so I don't have to come back later. I see nothing wrong with it and if any CM or someone else would question me about it, I will tell them exactly what I am doing. Not that it really matters, but each of my family members have their own refillable cup too. I also get several extra of the included sodas/waters that are available at AH to take back to the room for later for when I cannot refill my cup.

Absolutely!! Well....depending on where you are staying and whatnot. We always get them as a souvenir because I like them for coffee in the car etc. At ft wilderness, refilling isn't that convenient, but when we stayed at value resorts and places that have their food courts close to the rooms I found it to be a good investment. I enjoyed the early morning walk to the court and getting my coffee and drinks for the kids when they woke up. The cabins being so self contained with full fridges, we didn't NEED them but we enjoy them nonetheless. We only purchase two when we are at the cabins but at other places we will often get on for everyone.

I love them I fill it before we go to the park so I have something to drink usually pop or soda depending on where your from. When I get back from the park I get a flavored water. I like to stay at the parks all day but sometimes get meals at nearby resorts to parks and refill my mug there also. So definitely worth I'm actually thinking of upgrading to the handless star wars mug if it is still available in July.

These are from September 2019. I’d like to know if either of the two “Mickey” ones are still available

I don't think they are worthwhile, personally any more. I don't want to have to walk that far for a drink. We just get soda/water /iced tea/coffee sent by amazon for the week.
