I still can’t get over how Garcia publicly criticized the Director of RCES, calling her actions disrespectful. Probably upset because she works for Disney which he has a strong dislike for.

Their expenditures total grows to 193,595,485 up from 191,610,197 (up 1,985,288) - with the difference largely made up by reducing the The General Fund Balance/Reserves compared to the Aug 23 version. (34,753,057 vs 36,719,345) (delta of 1,966,288)

But because the Sep27 packet only presents a summary of the budget - in a format completely different from every other reading of the budget (with no actual breakdown) - its difficult to discern how much they plan to offer employees or how much they plan on spending on the program. (the packet only includes the policy outline, not the planned expenditures).

But thank god it says "The tentative, adopted, and/or final budgets are on file in the office of the above referenced taxing
authority as a public record" - Bless their heart...

Best swag is the roughly 2 million delta between the two proposed budgets... and remember they boasted saving 2.5 million by eliminating this benefit in the first place.

So they confirmed basically exactly as suspected... the 2mil delta is largely due to the new stipend program and it's being funded in their budget by lowering the reserves target for the year.

Funny when the supervisor tries to 'clarify' online reporting about their budget and not including the 'optional' road paving.. he tries to tie it to the earlier comments about pandemic limitations and NOT being a cut... and the CFO basically gave him a non-answer. (I mean... that's kinda why they called it optional, no?)

Then Supervisor Perry goes on to say their new stipend program gives them 'equal' value to what they had before. Their passes are basically the level of incredi pass? Or at least sorcerer pass? At basically 1k or 1.4k in cost... they get basically 1.5x-3x people? Sure seems limited compared for someone with a family... or guests.

And then he goes on the importance of the employees having familiarity with the product they are supporting.. and benefits of a Disney pass. While Garcia had called the whole thing unethical before... So either it's a total flip, or Garcia will lash out at people with hateful speech without any understanding of things. So which is it?

At the new base pay a couple would be left with at least 18.2% less if they deduct normal taxes.

Disney is clearly not afraid of actual transparency. They’ve e-filed (during the meeting if the time stamps are correct) 10 Notices of Subpoenas for documents in the state court lawsuit.

The recipients are: Lake Buena Vista, Bay Lake, the Governor’s office, Desantis (official capacity), the Dept of Commerce, and 5 other Improvement Districts in FL.

Bring on the sunshine!
