They are going vertical. I couldn't get my camera out in time on the monorail, but it's going vertical for sure.
I don't really remember, does it matter? I'm not making this stuff up

On other boards people who are booked during that week report having received a letter from WDW and some folks posted the text.

I am aware of reduced MR operation dates but they are different. I'm showing only the 30th thru the 2nd. Just like to be accurate.

Well, I"m staying the 29 - 5th at the Poly and haven't received a letter as of today. Can anyone else confirm?

The boats will still be operating and special buses are added during the times that the MRs are not operating which for the Resort MR will be from 11:30 to 6:00. You'll be fine.

No need to believe me, but there are so many threads that it's certainly true. You aren't alone, not all people have gotten the form letter. A bit hit and miss.
Here's a copy of the form letter some people have received. Note, no specifics on dates or times just a standard form letter.

We are delighted that you have selected the Walt Disney World Resort as your vacation destination!
In order for the Parks and Resorts to continue to flourish as a magical setination, it is necessary for us to make enhancements from time to time.
We would like to make you aware of planned maintenance to the Monorail system that will occur during your upcoming visit. As a result, we will be temproarily adjusting the operating schedule for the Monorail to and from the Magic Kingdom Park. This is scheduled to take place during non-peak times between late morning and early evening.
Buses and Watercraft(where applicable) will be available to transport you to destinations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Monorail service to the Magic Kingdom Park will continue to be available before and after this maintenance.
