Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong thread topic... But am I the only one that's always dreamed of managing an entire Disney park in the palm of my hands?? For many years I've tried re-creating a park on RCT3 (Roller Coaster Tycoon 3) and it never completes me.. Because the "peeps" aren't real people. They're just part of the game. And there is a lot of limit on construction.

I recently stumbled across an amazing video on a huge group of people on minecraft (yes you read that right) and they're re-creating the entire WDW resort. Don't bum down on this thread just because it's minecraft.. Listen..

They actually hire cast members, they have a bunch of people working on different projects. They've recreated the entire parks on a 1-to-1 scale. They even do the entire backstage areas. Check out the link..

It is really amazing! Wouldn't you love to be the owner of this entire project?? Having actual people come into a WDW via online and experience the (minecraft) magic, they some people probably will never get to experience in person.. This would be amazing!!

I created my own versions about 4-5 yrs ago, currently working on a new version of this, as the game has been updated way more since then

kidney Disneyland at least gave it a good effort to try merging a virtual park with a game. even if games aren't true adaptations I think most of us love even the fan service thrown our way. I still love the wdw kart racing game for ps1. and in an interesting twist on another theme park there was a pinball game based entirely on Hershey park for pc, and I think a worse version on game boy color as well. in a way though I'm glad rollor coaster tycoon never got together with Disney. i have to say the six flags tie ins were really odd and looked nothing remotely close to their actual rides.

I guess it also comes down to, are you trying to remember the rides or recreate every detail. because unfortunately for the latter is almos always doomed to come up short in some aspect. ( with perhaps the exception of minecraft tryin to recreate a mine craft theme park)

I'm always making Disney parks on RCT3! One thing I HATE is the peeps just aren't like real people. I make more money of a plain straight road with 10 roller coasters down it than an amazingly theme whole park with rides spread out. Main Street is almost impossible to make not in the free sandbox mode because they usually just turn around and leave before riding anything :(

Now, I don't play mine craft but a lot of my friends used to be OBSESSED with it!
