We're planning on dining at Raglan Road (dinner) in October, and the menu is confounding me, for all the right reasons: there are at least half a dozen entrees I'd love to try! We're on the dining plan, so for once, money is no object.
For those who've had them in the past, what are your opinions of these particular dishes (and are there any others we should seriously consider)? We love everything in them. I just wonder which ones don't quite live up to their billing, and/or which ones knocked your socks off (or just caused your waistband to stretch out of shape)!
1 - Raglan Risotto – Risotto with shiitake mushrooms, garden peas, shaved parmesan & rocket lettuce. Add chicken or shrimp
2 - Lambo - Lamb shank braised in rosemary jus with mash, leeks, ake mushrooms & baby carrots.
3 - Mighty Mixed Grill - Lamb chop, Guinness banger, sirloin steak, black pudding, chicken drumstick & bacon. Mighty.
4 - Salmon of Knowledge - Baked Atlantic salmon fillet topped with smoked salmon, served with a maple glaze. It'll give you brains to burn.
5 -Serious Steak – 10oz sirloin topped with Irish whiskey marmalade glaze, with fresh basil oil, mashed potatoes & topped with beer battered onion rings.
6 - It's not bleedin' Chowder! - That's what Master Chef said! It's the freshest cuts of seafood & potatoes in a white wine infused cream broth. But it’s not chowder. Ok?
