Recommendation for a Hotel

As you are, I am also a Disney Vacation Club member. I come to this web site for general information on planning my next trip to Walt Disney World. When I saw a general tile on a posting "Recommendation for a Hotel" under the tab New Post, I was thinking Walt Disney World Hotels. I guess I should have looked at the fine print to see in was posted under Universal Studios and I would have skipped the post.

Many of the people on this site seem to have a good knowledge of Walt Disney World, what many consider inside information. I would think that a sight that is about Universal Studios would have the same. Also people on that site would most likely go to Universal more often than people on a site about Walt Disney World. Not saying what anyone is doing something wrong, but I just find it interesting without calling anyone a Pixie Duster or implying that they cannot read.

I guess I am just asking the question why would one feel they get better information about Universal Studios Hotels from a Walt Disney World site then they would from a Universal Studio site? I think that is a fare question.
Many people come to this site for WDW vacation planning (that may have NEVER been to the area), naturally, many people on extended stays like to experience what the entire Orlando area has to offer. And with many long time Disney lovers becoming more and more jaded with the current state of the parks, there are people who love BOTH parks and want to share what they know in order to help others enjoy/ make the most of their vacations. There are sections for SW, and Everything Else. BTW *FAIR*:p

I think you can do Cabana Bay and get a suite room(they have a room divider(Two beds in one room and fold out couch in the other). Keep and eye out for deals. The hotel is really wonderful, we have stayed at Port Orleans and Animal Kingdom Lodge in WD and it better than those in terms of the amazing pool and transportation to the parks(we walked most days). With Kids that size not sure your going to need the fast passes too often.

I don't know of a great Universal Only Forum, and honestly I am sure those running this site are happy to have people come to it to talk disney or universal

The Point Resort is only a few minutes drive from Universal (they have a free bus if you don't have a car), large rooms, free wifi and low rates. The rooms also have a fully equipped kitchen, superb bathrooms with a jetted tub. Better value than anything offered at UO or WDW.

I don't think it's a fair question at all. This is a sub-forum of this message board. It's about Universal. Universal is what gets talked about here. Honestly, I can't possibly understand where you're coming from.

We've got an 18 month old and she loves Cabana Bay. If you stay in the suite the sliding divider door does a nice job of separating the group if baby goes to bed earlier than the rest of the troop. We've now stayed at Cabana 6 times with her and she always has so much fun exploring and floating down the lazy river with the misses.
