We took our 7 month old at the time and we ate anywhere we wanted to. We ate at a few of the countries in EPCOT, really anywhere we wanted. At 5 months they are easy, just leave them in their infant seat or stroller and you are fine.

I totally agree! I've always taken my kids to any restaurant I wanted to go to and they've done just fine. It's only my opinion, but I feel that if they grow up going out and eating in the restaurants you chose, then they become accustomed to the behavior expected at those restaurants. I only say that, because my 2 heathens can be running around acting like idiots then go into Narcoosees and sit and eat a nice dinner with the best of them.

Basically, don't limit yourselves to quick service or buffets if that's not what you really want. If you want to go to Narcoosees, Le Cellier or the other table service restaurants, go for it! At 5 months old, that precious baby won't bother anyone.

Are you looking for something for the 5 month old to watch? If so, the Crystal Palace breakfast with Pooh is great. The colors just draw attention to the baby's eyes and you are set.

If you are looking for a nice quiet dinner (with a 5 MO, I know that is hard) but DH and I like to go over to the Clam Bake at the Beach and Yahct club. DD is now too old to take because she can't sit still, but in an infant carrier, not a bad place, and a great meal.

Buffet. You don't want to be waiting for service.

Another advantage to buffets with an infant, though it is, sadly, a little wasteful: If your child interrupts a meal to be fed or changed or soothed, you can always get more hot food. Our baby will be 5 months old on our next trip, and I'm opting for many buffets for this reason.
