Recent Tony's Reviews?

Anyone been to Tony's recently for lunch? Just wondered what its like lately before going this week. I know its not phenomenal or anything but just wondered if any current thoughts? Do they still have bread service or is that gone now? Thanks

My last time was late November last year for lunch. We did the parade spot package for our grandson so we didn’t have to wait for a good spot. The parade viewing was amazing so worth the money for that but the food was not. (We have eaten there 3 times I believe and never cared for it, it was 3 times too many - minus not bothering with parade waiting with the baby) They did still have the bread which was decent but everything else was barely edible. We did have a great waiter though. I would eat anywhere at MK over Tony’s as far as food goes.

I've eaten there recently. Its better than it was 5 or 6 years ago. I heard they got a new chef a couple of years ago. The food was kind of "ok to good". I wouldn't rave about it, but its also not bad. I'm of Italian decent and I live in New York, so my bar on Italian food is set pretty high, but I would say it was definitely ok. Its convenient to have lunch in the park also. And we had bread. Hope this helps. Enjoy your Trip!!

We ate there for the first time last month and I agree with Joeamc. It was an okay meal and I can check it off my been there, done that list. They did have bread service with the meal.

The Plaza is a good Lunch spot IMO. Not sure if you've been there.

For being in such a prime spot, it still fails to bring the quality of flavor and value. Although there was some changes made, it hasnt improved much As stated above, the Plaza is a better place to eat lunch.

I know I have written this review before, but here goes:
We had always heard bad stories about Tony's food, and decided it wasn't for us.
Then, our daughter and soninlaw ate there and said they loved it, and go there each trip.
So, last December we decided to give it a try. We were amazed at the good food and good service!
It was nothing like I had thought it would be. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection, the bread service was delicious, as was the salad. I have nothing to complain about. I asked the waiter why the food was so great, all of a sudden (in a nice way He knew what I was talking about and said that they had a new chef for about 6 months at that time, and he was getting excellent reviews.
I wouldn't hesitate to try it at all. We now go there every trip.
