Recent MuppetVision 3D Upgrades

I was happy to see a few improvements to one of my favorite attractions at DCA. First, the televisions in the queue have been upgraded and are now contained in themed boxes, whereas before they were basic unthemed monitors.

Something else I noticed was the finale "explosion" -- it seems like a bigger blast than before with enhanced special FX and added strobe lights throughout the theater. Looks really good. In addition all the AAs and lighting look as good as new.

I'm guessing this may be part of the project sparkle plan that miceage.com reported a while back. According to Al Lutz, Project Sparkle is a plan that will refresh existing areas of the park in preparation for the big DCA relaunch in the Summer. Happy to see they finally changed the TV's a much better look than the old ones. I love the 1D, 2D, and 3D buttons.

While having not visited Disneyland until this upcoming summer, it's great to see those screens have been updated. They looks so much better and truly fit the Muppet world. Can't wait to experience MuppetVision 3D there!

I'm quite impressed with how far TDA's arms are reaching in order to ensure a successful relaunch of the DCA park. Between this, the remodeling of the entrance, Cars Land, TLM, re-theming Paradise Pear, parts of Grizzly River Run and so on it's all coming along to create quite an amazing design. I don't think there's any precedent to something like this in a Disney park. What do you guys think?

I think you are exactly right.

There's two big things happening in DCA for a summer 2012 debut;

1. New Construction: Cars Land and Buena Vista Street

2. Project Sparkle: Plussing up and polishing the entire rest of the park

It's amazing to see, and something that has never been done on anything close to this scale at any other Disney theme park. Totally unprecedented in history.
